Hows about an 80's night , mainly because its quite possible most people will still have clothing stashed away from that era , and maybe add a "neighbours" theme to it too , you can play old 80's music ( wa wa nee , michael jackson , george michael , pseudo echo , thompson twins etc , have 80's stlye decorations ( balloons and streamers ) , big punch bowl and bowls of potato chips!!!
Maybe even do "pass the parcel" , and pin the tail on the donkey ( find a volenteer for this!!! )
I tend to have good weeks and bad weeks.. ( not talking 1 week either , im talking plurals here )
this is the 2nd week the old energy levels have been low , work hours long , nights hot ( that doesnt bother me , but the mozzies buzzing my ears every 5 minutes do ) and alarm clock buzzing way too early!
does anyone else have a weekly format? or am i the only unlucky sod to do teh week long thing?
But its not all bad , and i know that.. just gotta get energetic again
cant win em all i guess... i actually had a date lined up for the night , but that wont be happening ( short story , but i'll say its long so i dont have to explain ), so i'll definitely be hoofing it by myself , but i am looking forward to it.. a night out , away from a keyboard and an annoying cat , new scenery and people.. who knows what might eventuate!!
The original thread ( same as this one ) was posted in the CS get togethers , just like this one is , it just falls into the Aust catagory , which is why it shows up in the normal forums.
Love to put my hand up for a moderators job , do it on some car forums im on
Last post was deleted.. not sure why.. it didnt break any rules , i was however sent this:
This event i organised was in no way used to advertise a place of business for personal gain or to give them free advertising or associated with another group. The $5 maximum gift idea was for all members , and was a completely anonymous affair.
Now to make matters worse.. i cant remember what club i had it organised for , so if someone can fill in the blank there for me ( so i can remember where it is ) i would be muchly apprecative. ( was relying on me re-reading the first post to jog my memory on where and when )
techno rocks.. makes a long day seem shorted with uplifting beats and sounds.. the more fast paced it is ( without being ridiculous ) the more amped you become , and the more productive you can become ( gyms play upbeat fast music to help push you to go harder and stay with the beat )
I live in a pretty dumpy house ( not even council approved ) , if the government offered me a better house in a better location i'd take it! , for 1 , it'll be a nicer area ( the pub and associated fights across the road ( in saying that , there was just a lot of glass being smashed - how ironic ) ) But im not in a housing commission house , its a private rental , and im not complaining.. rent is cheap and helps me save for my own place..
Indigenous people should be welcoming the change , and the oppertunity to become a better person , taken out of hostile and dangerous situations.
In armidale where i grew up , i was friends with a few blacks , but when we started highschool , they hated me with a passion , yet i did nothing wrong to provoke anything.. it was like a switch was flicked or something... needless to say , the cutmore family wanted my blood! still dont know why.. i did nothing.. i mean it!!!
My day will be driving to Port Macquarie for a big Gemini meet , dont think too many cars will attend , but its a camping weekend im looking forward to.. even registered a car just for this event!!!
I havent done anything out of the ordinary.. i guess because i havent taken holidays over the break..
But next week i have a week with my daughter , who i havent seen for about 2 years... Ahhh 13 , i remember when i was 13.. the amount of shenanigans and mischief i got into was unre...... oh wait.... Hmmm maybe i'd better rethink what i let her do while she's visiting me
Few ways to tackle it , Mouse traps with food on it , or a cat. I have a cat and have never had a mouse problem.. as soon as they get a wiff or see a slight bit of movement , they're all over it like a groom on his wedding night!!!
If you dont have a cat , see if any friends have one they can lend you for the day/night
I was hoping it would take off here , then do a combined site ride , or even a dinner thing , but doesnt appear to be too many members here with bikes , so it doesnt look like it'll happen unfortunately , but heres hoping!!!!
Big thanx to all that came , you made the night VERY enjoyable , only got 2 hours sleep , up at 7am to the knocking on the door and a job awaiting my attention ( damn me for saying "yeah , the earlier the better" ) , still havent got the pics off the camera yet , can those with pics message me so i can return you my email addy and steal your photos to post up ( but not the incriminating ones Hehehehehehehe ). I think there will Definitely be another organised , this time northside.. Was too much fun to not do another one!!!
just home now... 4.28am , will upload all pics in a few days , gotta get everyone to email me theirs , and go thru them all for the bestest ones , must be about 400 odd photos and a few video's , but i dont think the vids are G rated.. too much tongue action..
But WHAT A NIGHT!!!! Yes small group , but a lot of fun... think i was the only one not drinking , but what a great bunch of people to be hanging with!!!!
More tales of mischief soon..............................................
Also.... Will be starting a new thread so i can post the pics in it.
what is it? ,and how many you going to have for 2009?
I have a big one , to finally be buying a house!!! , should happen by end of year if all goes well.. finally in a spot where i can save uuber amounts of Dosh!!!
So thats 3 offers on the back of mine? + 1 on me.. errr.. the bike
I was hoping there would be more riders... one of the other sites im on do rides , they have 40+ bikes , and make a whole day of it , i was kinda hoing the same thing may happen here , then an intersite ride ( if all plans worked well ).
but alas.. its not looking promising enough to do... Sorry guys.. but im still up for a ride
Me and my hand , we're a team , without it i wouldnt be able to open the door , turn on the computer and post dribble every now and then.. i love my hand.. better include the other one.. might get jealous otherwise
Snoops , no offence , you really should create a new thread if you want to organise something , it'll make it easier to organise that way , instead of being lost in X amount of pages..
RE: Themed parties.. ideas please!
