Brisbane dinner meet and greet possibilities????????

yeah im serious.. i'll get off my lazy butt and get it organised. will need a week to hunt down all the info i need , like accomodation for the out-of-towners ( all i will do is provide info and possibly prices on close motels - i will not book anything , that is up to the individual/s who intend to stay there )

1st one will be south Brisbane , at the Greenbank RSL , weekend before Australia day ( yet to be 100% confirmed )

Brisbane dinner meet and greet possibilities????????

Main reason i posted up for a north or south meet is because
1: parking
2: costs
3: transport
4: venues

cost may seem like a dumb reason to some , but i have found that a night out in the city can be 3 times more expensive than other places , and from past meets , the RSL clubs can cater for larger parties better than most restaurants , and the alcamahol is cheaper , they usually have after dinner entertainment , and a shuttle service ( a cab fare from CBD to my place is $45 - my fault for missing the 2.45am train )

RE: Chicks who ride motorcycles

Now thats a funny thing to read..

I have both... a 2001 R1 , and a 1996 VS commo ute ( hardly driven/ridden seems as i have a work truck )

but get out on the bike on weekends when time permits.. nothing like raw power!!! better economy than a harley too ;)

Brisbane dinner meet and greet possibilities????????

Just throwing an idea of a brisbane meet n greet dinner and drinks idea out there.. not sure how many people would be interested , but in a pack you should be safe from all the chainsaw wielding axe murderers from da intehnets

could do a nthside and sthside if need be , but i wont look into organising anything unless there is about 30 people interested..

P.s have done a partial organisation of one before on another site , as well as a partial motorbike group ride as well ( around brisbane and surrounds )

RE: What is the youngest and oldest contact you have had on a dating site ?

Lots of looks , mainly from overseas , but pretty much nothing locally , and no pm's either ( well nothing to jump up and down about!

Dating Via suburbs - does lower class suburbs turn you away?

Was listening to the radio the other day at work , there was a poll showing that the suburb i live in has a population of which 65% is single males , compared to other suburbs ( I live Western suburbs of brisbane - Industrial suburbs ).

Its considered a lower class area , due to the cheapness of it , and the fact its fairly close to a prison.

Does someones suburbial position turn you away? like, if its a slummy area it would deter you from dating people from that area?

Im curious to know peoples positions on this , as even though i live in a slummy area , i was bought up in a country town , and live here as its an excellent area to get work in ( in saying that , i AM working , have a company car and earn quite an exceptional salary compared to other workers in the same area ).

RE: Proof of a man drought

read from another source , it was said that women nowadays are more picky in their partners than in the past , so i dont believe there is a drought , more that females want an "exact" partner , someone who carries all the traits they are looking for ( us males usually arent too picky ).

For example ( me obviously ) i have a well paying job , own everything ( want a house , but not a good time to buy ) look after myself quite well , eat well , exercise , compassionate , romantic etc etc , yet it must be my looks letting me down , as there is nothing wrong with me in any other department ( even friends think its weird i've been single this long ). And we are here as single people looking , yet it seems there is more time spent chatting in forums than actually "looking" ( i also find on the other well known free site more time is spent in the forums it seems , although they do put together some pretty good nights out and bike rides )

RE: Chicks who ride motorcycles

im a bloke that rides , and yes , a chick that can ride too is a bonus!! have dated a few riders , they are more fun than non riders in my eyes

RE: Describe yourself in 1 word

putting things into a 1 word analogy is quite hard at the best of times , but i think im

"forthright"

RE: if no one tells you your falts and irritations how can you better your self?

you can better yourself by believing in what you do , if there are annoying habits you have that you know of , assress these , and you might find that smaller problems once overlooked disappear!

Maybe a change in hobbies , becoming more active , fit and healthy , i know from experience that a change in lifestyle can open doors previously closed and unobtainable!

usually photos can show attractiveness , but pics dont show the "true" person inside , its places like forums ( for us internet users ) that can reveal the person behind the picture!

Hope this helped

RE: I have a question

The old school dating comes into its own now.. for generations its been the males always asking the females for a date.. times are changing , but its not something that happens overnight..

If you really want women breaking down your door , you need the key ingredients...

everyones ingredients are different , so i cannot tell you what they are.. BUT most stuck-up women ( this is in no way referring to any ladies on here mind you , this is for the blonde bimbos that marry for money ) want a list with these traits : big wang , bulging muscles , Phat wallet and bottomless credit cards , a face and body that ALL her friends would envy , a toyboy for while hubby is at work to pay for her jewelery etc etc.. you get the point..

Be honest , open , and most importantly , yourself.. no-one wants to know what you ate for brekky or how naked you get infront of the computer.. Its all about being you , and being proud of it , and how much you achieve things in your life ( and how good you are with kids!!! < that one gets you bonus points! )

Hope this helps get an answer to your questioncheers

RE: Whatcha Wearin

I posted it as ,well ,yes a moderator style of post, im not a moderator , but lets look at it from another point of view.. How many stalkers and wierdo's down the phone line ask this very same question? How many people get off in their own weird way about this kind of thing? how many 50 year old blokes ask this kind of question hoping some 18 ( or younger )year old girl will answer ,

Who knows what then can happen in pm's , there are lots of sick demented people that frequent singles sites , p*dophile i think is what they are called , or rock spiders is another term used.Posts like this are used for trolling for "prey" , so personally , i think my comment is well justified.

Oh , and for a bit extra , i have a 12 y.o daughter , going on 16 , so its easy for her to gullible and think questions like this are all in good fun ( she does not frequent singles sites , but there are a lot of other site on "teh intehnet" , and its impossible to watch kids 24 hours a day, thats how the spiders get their prey , so no.. i stand by what i wrote.. and im sure now people arent looking through their rose coloured glasses , they will see i raise a good point.

If you are offended , im not sorry , everyone is entitled to their opinion.

p.s Cusp.. didnt your profile say canada? now its australia? or did i miss something somewhere along the line?

RE: Whatcha Wearin

14 # You must have a clear topic to start a thread. “I’m bored” or “goodnight all” is a statement, not a topic! If you don’t have anything to say, don’t waste site space and resource saying it.

This is a spam thread , it has no relevance to the site , or the sites content. Please to not start misleading threads. This is a singles site , not a "look at me site"

RE: desperately needing advice please

maybe you come across as an easy target? im not saying you are , but you could be.. Anyone could be!

Not that it matters , but i alway check for a ring mark on the appropriate finger ( im single , i look to see if there are possible single people out there in the world )

If by chance it happens again , and you get a call from the "partner" , then explain you didnt know , and that maybe they need to change something to stop the husband cheating on them , and if they dont , it will happen again and again and again.. its not your fault , just remember that!!

RE: Goverment Warning

RE: Where will you be in 20 years?

"where will you be in 20 years"

Dead...

My family has a history of heart disease , and leukemia.

3 uncles died of heart attacks mid 40's , grandfather in 60's leukemia.

Maybe i'll break the family "tradition" , but knowing how i ride a bike , probably not head banger

On a lighter note , i am quite healthy , and reasonably fit , so i may go on to a ripe age of 100!

Oh , and my goals for 20 years , are retired , own my own company , and spending my days tinkering with old cars , or swimming naked with partner in my pool on hot balmy days/nights

Then again , we might be killed by aliens in the next 20 years , or killed ourselves off with our planetary selfishness.

Its such a broad question.. very hard to answer

So how long is too long to be single on singles sites?

WAs asking myself the other day this exact question...

How long can a person be on singles sites , and not meet anyone , before they start asking themselves "whats wrong with this picture?"

I havent been in a good steady relationship for 6 years ( had g/f's , but nothing got serious or eventuated into them moving in ) so im wondering , if your single for too long , does this mean you dont fill the requirements people are asking? or are we all too fickle , and pray that MR/MRS right , will one day become single and check these pages out , to sweep us off our feet and into a relationship to upshow all other relationships.

/sick of being single out

RE: Heath Ledger died..

Be interesting to find out the true circumstances behind it.. there is so much conjuncture being thrown around at the moment , you dont know what to believe.

Good actor , great loss

RE: How to politely let someone know you're not interested

"Thankyou for the flower , unfortunately , im looking for certain qualities in a partner , so i dont think you and i would be a good match. Good luck in the hunt"

Or

"Thanks , but no thanks.. i can smell you from here , and that aint a turn on"

Or

"No sprekenze de engrish"

Or

I am currently seeing someone , and only come on here to use the forum , but good luck in your search for that special someone

Or

"Thanx , but not interested so F off!!!" ROFL
^^^ my favorite

RE: 3 bad things about being single..

1 - No-one to talk to about how crappy your day was
2 - No smile as you walk in the door in the afternoon to brighten your otherwise crappy workday
3 - no-one to shower with everything you have to offer

I could keep going , but you only stipulated 3

RE: What do you drive?

may as well jump onboard the re-thread..

Own a 96 VS ute ( drive car for towing )
1988 FZR750R road bike , soon to be updated to an R1 or ZX10R

Also in the stables are some geminis ( read 13 of them ), and a trailbike ( TT250 in need of repairs ).

Never fallen off the bike , had a few close calls , but nothing life threatening.

Also have my old commodore sedan ( VS 96 ) that was retired to the for sale ranks when i got my hands on the ute ( more practical for my line of occupation )

RE: One question.

Havent been here long enough to pick someone!!!

Will you stick to your hardest new years resolutions?

RE: Fear of meeting face to face.

Meet now , stop building up high expectations over the keyboard.. nothing worse than thinking "YES OH YES" only to meet and find out its.. no.. HELL NO!!! You can only learn so much thru a keyboard and webcam. Meeting quickly and in a public place is best and safest way to do it , i have heaps of friends from doing this ( stay in contact with a lot of them! ) and sometimes their friends could be the ones you end up dating!

oh.. I have no fear meeting people , i am who i am , i dont put on an act or anything , im a take it or leave it kinda guy ( wont tell you i've been single for 3 years now though frustrated )

RE: Ideas please - holidaying on own

cruise boat? you have the choice of relaxing or partying.. and there are bound to be heaps of blokes , so you wont be alone if you didnt want to be *wink wink*

RE: shaved or not......................................

No hair for the win , although if its well maintained , like trimmed , shaved/waxed to a shape or something , thats good as well! It shows pride in appearance. I trim my chest , trim/shave my head ( im bald on top so i gotta keep it to a very short length so as to not look like a 60 y.o bloke ) downstairs , well i'll leave that to your imagination , but i will say i look after myself batting
