RE: Teenagers... (HOW do they make it to adulthood?)

Ahh... I was always the early riser had to be my mom was a single mom when I started school as my dad walked out on us for 2 yrs. I had a sister that was 2 yrs and 9 mths younger I helped my mom take care of. I was up at 5 a.m. went to my gmas at 6 and caught the bus at 7. I started doing that when I was a toddler! Have done it ever since. For me going to college was different it took me time to realize I could sleep longer. lol... Until the last half of the 2nd semester I found myself up twiddling my thumbs! lol ... but for my roomate she had to have a alarm clock that would wake the dead! I would have to literally pull her outta bed for her to make it to tests and classes! My other friend Ashton getting her up is like pulling teeth I normally have to take the covers. and get her shoes and tell her if you don't get up the breakfast dude is gonna close up before we get there. I guess in a sense I play the mom getting them up!

I guess... in a sense my body was trained to wake at a certain time I don't use an alarm clock even in college. When it is time to get up and go you better be getting up and going! lol... if I ever didn't get up on time... lol just the threat I would have to wake up even earlier was enough.

Nice to meet you too Joanne handshake and thanks !

RE: ALL HONEST MEN AND WOMEN SIGN UP HERE

Very honest!!! Couldn't lie if my life depended on it! Tell people the truth even if they don't like it because I know I would want the same!

RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

wave Hi Deeply! How are you today?

RE: Everyone Daisychick could really use some support

Ya'll not being together doesn't change the hurt! My ex and I are not together and are best friends he has had cancer 3 times and is fighting the 3rd right now! He means so much to me! I have come to the understanding that I have a huge chance in losing him but know that I must be strong for his wife and kids! Mind you we never had any kids I can't imagine well actually I guess I can my cousin's lost their mom and dad (one's real dad the others step dad) An she was 5 when her dad died! My cousin who is now 18 has custody of her and live with an amazing family that was my aunt's best friends! It can be hard from what I read you are an incredibly strong person I wish you all the comfort and peacfulness You and your son are in my prayers!

God Bless,

Lora

RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

I agree with you completly! I know several people that have had long distance relationships and them work out! Its about the people and the effort! Negative experiences while sad should be gained from! All people are different there for all relationships will be different!

RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

I think so too... my ex actually called me this morning to let me know how his kids and wife ( a girl I called my sister) were doing she is prego and they are expecting twins! Crap happens! Things don't work out and sometimes they do ! I took the chance and ended up with one of the most important people in my life! You are not with your ex but you still have the memories and experience! It makes it all worth it!

RE: long distance relationships, does it work?

Was in a long distance relationship for over a yr. Went through a lot with him. We are not together so in that sense it did not work out , but he is still my best friend. So that relationship worked out! Wouldn't change it for the world! Sometimes you just gotta jump and worry about the ground later. If you met a girl that took you seriously if ya'll both truly wanted a relationship and truly hit it off ? The sky is the limit!

RE: Any POWERLIFTERS AROUND?

Quite Impressive! handshake I wish you all the luck! lol That look especially comes in handy when people try put their arm around your shoulders! lol... scold

RE: Any POWERLIFTERS AROUND?

Thanks its a big womans sport in Texas! lol well at least in high school! It takes a strong person to do it not physically mind you its a mental endurance I learned. The whole not eating the day before a meet... spiting... lol anything to have as little weight on you as possible before weigh in! lol the memories! Suits so tight you have scars from them got scars on the under arms from bench shirt and thighs from body suit! It was all worth it! lol day after a meet though you really did wonder if it was worth it. when you could barly walk and if anyone even acted like they were going to touch you all you had to do was give them the look! They backed off quick!

How about you any memories ?

RE: Any POWERLIFTERS AROUND?

Former powerlifter .... got the scars to prove it lol... love the sport one of the best to get into the adrenline will get you addicted to the sport quick...well at least at my school it did. For the few of us girls crazy enough to do it... I wasn't as strong as my friend who was state powerlifting champ for our district 3 yrs and bombed out at state her senior yr. I could squat 275 and deadlift 250 and bench my measly very might I add 125 my arms were just not very strong what can I say lol. Was red lighted for bench to many times to count!

Never lifted with wraps except for sometimes wrist wraps. Tried knee wraps on my first meet and fell out from under the weight with over 200 lbs or the bar! Painful things! But I did squat 275 on a sprained ankle with no wrap just tennie shoes!

RE: How someone treated their parents. Is that how they ended up treating you?

Its very true! One of my ex's yelled and cussed at his mom just the same way he did to me! I didn't go for it! I would confront him for yelling at his mom in frong of his mom and dad if he was around! I was always taught to respect my elders with yes ma'am and no ma'am! The yelling disrespectful stuff would have landed my behind across the room with a blistered behind! I don't dislike my parents one bit for raising me that way! It taught me wrong from right! Partially why he is my ex is how he treated his mom because it was also the way he treated me.

Where my ex who is my best friend treated his mom with the upmost respect just like I was raised! We never argued! He took care of his mom when she got sick with cancer! He would do the same for me if it was ever arise even though we are not together! So it is completly true in my eyes! Mind you his mom raised him to believe it was the man's job to provide even if the woman worked the man paid the bills and put food on the table!

I have always treated my partners how I would want to be treated! You respect me I respect you and sometimes even if you don't respect me I respect you! I am a peacful person like my mom!

RE: Do you find it embarrassing to be Single?

Embarassed not by any means at all! I would rather be single than be in a relationship where I am not appreciated or verbally and mentally abused! You live and learn! Been single for over 9 mths longest time I have been single since I started dating! An I honestly have truly found myself and really thought over what I want! Wouldn't trade the past 9 mths for nothing! I went to prom single for 2 yrs, you make it about friends! I took a friend , a girl that is mentally handicap and if I had not taken her though she could go since she was of the age she could but wouldn't have because no one helped. I took her so she had the experience and had a good time ! lol It has always been easier for me to worry about someone else instead of myself!

God Bless,

Lora

RE: hey ya'll

Welcome to CS ... like above me the international Forums are more lively! Good Luck to ya!

RE: Which one would u be if u were a color?

I think I would be warm colors of red, orange and yellow because I am a warm person from what I have been told. An at time shades of cool colors because I am peacful. I guess in a sense Im alittle bit of every color!

RE: What do u have allergy to?

During the school I live in a dorm... in what I would call a city but to most it would be a small down... when you graduated with only 63 in your graduating class and you school is surrounded by fields and all the town consists of is a dance hall and post office. When you drive 30 mins to the nearest store. City has it possitives for some but, I love the country... been to Houston and the air is so thick and yucky lol!

RE: What do u have allergy to?

Well my dad likes to use this anti-bacterial dish soap by palmolive after I found out I was allergic I was unable to use it because my hands get red and splotchy and itchy... it goes away in a few hrs. As for lysol I am unable to breath very good it feels like someone is standing on my chest! Definitly was not things I thought about until about a month later when things started to add up to anti-bacterial things and I started looking at ingredients.

RE: What do u have allergy to?

Very true of Houston thankfully I am southwest of you and live in the country! Don't do the city well lol!

RE: What do u have allergy to?

Sulfa-Antibiotics.... found out I was allergic when taking them... started with a small read splotch on my neck and it became my whole body i was swollen up like a toad! Went to the ER... and they told me that they were surprised I was still able to breath and that I am never to take them again or they could kill me. They say because I was at band practice in the sun all the time (live in south texas) and the sun triggered it. Since I have to watch what Anti-bacterial soaps I use, or any antibiotic for eyes there is only like one that is not sulfa. There is also some landry soaps and I can not be around Lysol because they use Sulfa in it. Its not a big allergy really just one you gotta be careful of. I am just glad I am not allergic to some things listed above!

RE: what matters more: looks or personality?

Can never judge a book by its cover! I believe that personality is the most important! Because if you don't talk to a person just because of how they look then you will never know if you are truly attracted to them! No matter what a person looks like if they have the personality and you like them you will find attraction! My ex had cancer he was attractive bald and skinny as a pole! It was because I loved him!

But to everyone there is their own!

God Bless,

Lora

RE: what is your biggest fear?

I fear hurting someone unintentionally... I'd never intentionally hurt anyone whether it be verbally, mentally or physically! I've never feared death, bugs, snakes, or mice. Hurting someone is something I've always feared!

RE: hey ya'll

RE: What Would be your Ideal first date

Take a walk on a beach holding hands... Love the beach ! grin

RE: What is one of your family’s important traditions?

I have many! I come from a huge family my mom is one of 8 children my dad one of 7 one I consider adopted on top of many aunts and uncles that I call family and are not family by blood but by heart! Being that there is so many of us it is hard to get together sometimes. But we have kept many traditions alive still... my mom's side of the family celibrates Christmas on Christmas eve in part to the german part of my family. We then have our immediate family on Christmas morning and my dad's side shortly after! As a tradition my gift to all my aunts and uncles is banana bread that my grandma on my mom's side taught me to make. My sister makes fudge. An for all our neighbors and the elders in the community we bake a lot of cookies for them! I have carried on the tradition on my dad's side being the oldest grand daughter since my grandma passed away of making cabbage rolls every Christmas and Thanksgiving. On the forth of july we pretty much have a huge family get together and we have every year since my Aunt Mary passed away. Though we are a very big family we have always been very close. Children are taught to respect elders and in our family if you see a child doing something wrong you do what you think their punishment should be. And you never touched anything on my grandma's shelf. If you did something really wrong you went and picked your switch! It was the way my mom and dad were raised and the way I was raised it will be the way my children are raised. May sound harsh but I believe its right being that it has kept me and my cousins in line!

RE: What's the weather like where you are

Me too... it is hot as hell and dry we have been on burn ban for like 2 mths already! Ready for winter! Even though it means more A&P lol!

RE: There are people on here...

There is a lot of people on here I would love to meet one I will be meeting very soon! I have only been on here a short time and already made a few good friends. Many people on here have very big hearts and are very caring and understanding of others! This is a great place just to make friends and more if it happens to come to that!

RE: Do you feel safe in your neighbourhood?

Yes I feel very safe... I to do not lock my door at night... I live in the middle of the country.... BFE... granted we have our share of kids thinking it would be funny to bust windows and distroy mail boxes but they paid for it. God is my protector but my neighbor hood is still one where kids run around on bikes with their dogs as they please ... with the biggest danger being snakes!
