It doesn’t mean it’s all that it takes to end a friendship, but it’s changing it into a different type of relationship and we’re talking here male-female frienship. I wouldn’t continue to have the same easiness around him knowing he would seize any opportunity to win me, when I am not intersted in that.
So, no, I won’t be able to see him as the same friend he was before…in my eyes, I lost a good friend and I gain a ‘regular’ friend. I was not interested in him in a romantic way and he knew that to start with.... It might be a woman thing, that’s how it works for me.
The ‘rules’ are the ones usually this type of relationship comes with – they are not required and depend from person to person. In my experience, usually setting rules/boundries help creating a healthy and truthfull friendship but again, it’s optional, everybody set it up the way they consider it fit.
Now, if during the relation, the feelings start to change and there's an open discussion about that....that's a whoooole different thing; We know where we stand and we can agree on a plan together.
A blonde, wanting to earn some money, decided to hire herself out as a handyman-type and started canvassing a wealthy neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do.

That's easy; the case they would both have great personalities and one is better looking than the other, you would take the better looking…that’s basic instinct, surviving of the species.
But the fact is , life’s never like that and the little details are the ones that make the difference, either in the physical aspect or personality traits…whichever you might notice first to throw it into your balance.
Looks are important and personality is important. What I have noticed in my relationships is that it all depended on the chemistry, of course, respecting my criteria of looks and personality (those being – no top model and no rocket scientist).
I have dated brainy guys because of their brain but also because they had few physical attributes I was turned on by, I have dates less brainy guys that had plenty of physical attributes that turned me on…
Hypothetically: I might not like overweight people but if I do find somebody that conquers me with his wit, humor, touch, energy and overall wins my respect as a man, I won’t even see the extra kg I was not planning on dating in the first place.
True fact - my paradigm: I hate dating guys shorter than me- that is a negative physical characteristic that usually delete them from my list before even thinking about dating. In reality, I dated a guy shorter than me who completely won me over with his inner self. If I would have not bend my own rules, I would have lost a chance to meet a wonderful person ( but I do still like tall guys).
Definitely, certain physical indicators might bring you some insight on the personality ( eg. Personal hygiene….I doubt a guy that won’t wash his teeth would have the type of personality to swipe me off my feet).
My point is, it doesn’t have to be one or another; I think in most of us, especially after a while, it has to be a mixture of both – and I am pretty sure the proportion will vary depending on the people we meet, we will always be willing to bend our own rules a bit, stretching the limits of the parameters we set to ourselves.
It all depends on how much you are open to see beyond the skin…. and to break your own paradigm.
Answering the above comment: define your ideea of good looking!
For one person, good looking might be a masculine look, broad shoulders, long legs, 6.4" (en fin.....whatever else might be the norm); for another, good looking might be gratious hands, long fingers, intelectual face, eye glases, scientist type; for another one, good looking might be a full body tatooed , wild biker, lether suit and long hair....
All of the above might be good looking....it's all in the eyes of the person who's looking at them and making the choice.
Hi Mano, just saw your post. You are absolutely right about the Europe flight but summed up from the other side of the ocean, you would get much more expensive if broken in pieces. I got one great offer, through Atlanta and Paris ( hard to have other options, really) and when I go back, through NY and Miami. Not bad and under 1000 US.I guess the key was search all the options on the internet, otherwise i would have ended up paying 3 times that at a airline agency.
I just updated the pics in my profile half hour ago and looking at the rating, I can see 15 people saw my pics and rated them; when trying to see who liked them, i can only see 9.
I thought it might be because all the others didn't like the pic, but the age distribution counts all 15 people rating above 7.
Q: why can't I see the other 6 missing, although they count towards the rating score? Anybody else noticed that?
I know and I absolutely agree...men do know grief and suffering and they respond to it in their own way ; we are much easier as women to express and change it/let it go...... Women tend to be more open about sharing feelings, whereas men tend to keep it inside and suffer in silence and offer strenght for us. I appreciate that! Thank you for your thoughts!

She is a spa therapist and she does Reiky on all her clients just because they need it.....and she belives in the power of red, in good energy in people and in following the rules of the Universe. She would hug you just because you look like you need a hug and plan into lenghty details a surprise birthday present or party ....And she would drive her friends to the airport although she is terrified of driving in busy highways and getting lost in that maize.... That's a bit of her :)
We all her friends, told he we want to have her back with us, and we're all here waiting, so she has to fight back. She deserves to live her adult life in her own way....for as long as that might be.... I do believe there is somebody watching over each of us.....It might need some extra help from us at times.
