I would probabaly have the same reaction as you, although it might not be fair!
Nobody knows what's the real story behind each case...some might not have had any chance or it might be temporarely...hard to judge really.

Although, can't imagine what on earth can be considered an excuse to leave your kids behind.
Don't have any kids yet but I already love the ones I will have one day , and I couldn't ever leave them...no matter what!

We usually are overlooking the simple solutions, I think most of us have the ability to complicate things when they shouldn't.
But if we take some time and capture everything, process it...we might find out the simple solution was so obvious , right under our nose....
I think by default, I usually expect things to be complicated....I am working on accepting them to be simple and go smoothly...

Wonder what is the teaching policy in that place, when as teacher, ho's suppose to be the EDUCATOR of the young generation, is acting in such a way and nobody is taking any measures?
First action should be expelling her; second one, suspending her teaching license until she learns how to deal with kids. And , she should pay for the therapy of the poor kid, until he feels able to reintegrate into a group.
Kids are so fragile...it's a sin to toy with their personalityes like that.
