Right and wrong are diametrically opposed, and not interchangeable.
Your post seems quite ill-informed. Maybe it’s a language barrier of translation. Situational ethics never works out. And time actually reveals all lies, the truth is still a constant.
From your own admissions, you have missed out on a great many of life’s lessons. Experience is the best teacher. Perhaps this guru persona is not a great fit for you.
My best wishes to you on your path to enlightenment. Just remember it’s the journey, not the destination.
And DaVinci’s painting has a lot of controversy surrounding it, and it’s not the only one. Web search’ DaVinci painting x-ray’. Some very interesting stuff.
Jesus of Nazareth was not only a carpenter, but also a Rabbi (teacher).
Michaelangelo’s “The Last Judegment” fresco in the Sistine Chapel also contains some compelling imagery. Particularly the lower right corner. See if the faces depicted look just a little too familiar.
Usually to get the max payout, they invest the cash amount into an interest bearing account or bonds. Your first annuity is lessor than the following annuities as the interest compounds monthly over the course of a year. In short, the checks get bigger over time. They like the 30 year plan as they and the states get to pinch you every year. Also, depending on your age, your life expectancy may not be that long.
Current US Federal pinch is 37%. Ouch! It’s actually a separate line on IRS form 1040.
And not all of the US states tax the winnings.
Greedy bastids!
Personally, I want the cash. Roger Waters tells you to in the song ‘Money’. Besides, I’d probably do something really stupid and get myself killed and never make it to the 30 year mark.
Note that the US and State governments will pinch a piece as well. Since you’re offshore, not in a state, only the Fed pinch will apply. Since it’s a pool, more than likely they would opt for the cash payout. Likely your local government will want their pinch as well.
Cash in hand is better than a 30 year annuity, particularly with the current condition of world economies. Even if the cash is a fiat.
