Again you're not reading!!! we're talking about the occupation, anyhow, all of those countries returned the lands originally included in the mandate of Palestine plus in all of those countries there are thousands of Palestinians living, studying and working and in neither of those countries Palestinians are subject to abuses, check points or evictions, just the same as the Jewish population in Iran, they live and work there with nobody abusing them.
You're right, everywhere in the world some youth refuse to join the army, but there is an important point they mention here, if you didn't watch the video I'll quote it for you:
"Palestinian kids can't go to school because of check points, or even get health care, many young Palestinians go to prison for no reason, a lot of them have been killed or their homes demolished, the government says this policies keeps us safe, but denying Palestinians their basic human rights puts us all in danger"
Specially you Pat, who always insist in having people seeing all the sides, listen to this kids, the opposite to you took a look at the other side, did you ever try to get in the shoes of a person who is kicked out of their house and another family moves in? can you imagine if you get expelled from the land where your parents, grand parents and great grand parents were born and being told you don't have the right to return there?
Pat, what's being discussed is the occupation, the violent tactics of hamas have never brought positive results, peaceful fatah has got the same results (more occupation, more fences, more check points), now those two factions hinted a peace agreement and yet israel rejects it, seems like no matter what the Palestinians do israel will always be ready to reject it and continue their way taking more lands, evicting people, building more illegal settlements, The PA is pushing to have their territory recognized at the UN and israel, it's easy to believe that israel is the only one who rejects any peaceful arrangement.
A serious electricity shortage in the Gaza Strip is disrupting the lives of its people. Those hardest hit include hospital patients who depend on machines, such as the hundreds who need regular dialysis.
I feel sorry for the losers with such a limited brain capacity that can only try to mock when they are lost, people who live in darkness get blinded with minimum light and keep their eyes closed, I feel really sorry
Israeli naval forces have fired warning shots at a Malaysian aid ship headed to the Gaza Strip as it was approaching the shore.
The ship’s Malaysian organizer said the Israeli forces made them withdraw to Egyptian waters, AFP reported Monday.
“The MV Finch, carrying sewage pipes to Gaza, had warning shots fired at it by Israeli forces in the Palestinian security zone this morning at 0654 Jordan time (0354 GMT),” said Shamsul Azhar, a member of the Perdana Global Peace Foundation.
“Currently the ship has been forced to anchor in Egyptian waters, 30 nautical miles from Gaza,” he further explained.
A Malaysian journalist on board said Israeli naval ships stopped the vessel with a volley of gunfire.
“The Israeli naval vessel fired a warning shot at us upon approaching and asked us to leave the waters but the ship’s captain refused and the Israelis fired again, circling the MV Finch before firing twice more,” Alang Bendahara went on to say.
Bendahara also added that on board the vessel there were seven Malaysians, two Irish, two Indians and a Canadian, including anti-war activists and journalists.
The Free Gaza Movement, a coalition of human rights activists and pro-Palestinian groups, announced early April that a flotilla, comprising about 15 ships with activists from 25 countries on board, would set sail to Gaza in May on the first anniversary of the Israeli attack on a Gaza-bound Turkish ship.
The Israeli military attacked the Freedom Flotilla in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea on May 31, 2010, killing nine Turkish nationals aboard the Turkish-flagged MV Mavi Marmara, and injuring about 50 other people who were part of the team on the six-ship convoy.
Officials at the Perdana Global Peace Foundation, which was also involved in the 2010 Freedom Flotilla journey, said the MV Finch is not part of an international aid flotilla which plans to set sail for the Gaza Strip in June.
Around 1.5 million people in the Gaza Strip are being denied their basic rights, including the freedom of movement, and the rights to appropriate living conditions, work, health and education.
Shministim means “twelfth-graders” in Hebrew. Military service is mandatory after high school for young Jewish Israelis. The Shministim are Israeli youth who refuse to serve in the army because it enforces Israel’s 40-year occupation of the Palestinians.
While a number of Shministim letters have been written in the past (read about the first letter sent to Prime Minister Golda Meir here ), dozens of youth have signed the current letter for Shministim 2010, and about one hundred signed last year’s 2009 Shministim letter. Each letter articulates the basis for refusal by members of that year’s “graduating class.”
Because of their principled refusal to serve in an occupying army, youth who sign the letter face jail terms in Israeli military prisons. Terms range from 21 to 28 days; those who refuse to wear a military uniform while in jail are sent to solitary confinement for the duration of their term.
After completing their sentence, they are then drafted again and if they refuse a second time, as most do, they face the same sentence. This can be a repeated process in which Shministim return home for a few days or longer and are then drafted and then imprisoned. Even through they refuse to serve, they still in a sense ‘belong’ to the military until they receive their discharge papers. A Shministi may never receive these papers, and although the Israeli military may tire of re-calling objectors into prison regularly, without these papers, an objector’s fate is always uncertain. There is literally no end to the number of times youth might be sent back to jail.
You're right, that's the reason I don't use Yahoo any more, I used to enter the international rooms and meet different people, now from the moment you log in instantly get tens of messages from bots trying to take you websites or to get private information from you, believe me, chat windows start opening faster than what you can close them.
I'm sure that's the answer, the bad thing is beauty doesn't last forever, if they find a partner based on looks, does it mean that when time wipes out beauty should the relationship end?
Something I can't understand is why most of the better looking girls (like you are) are the ones less secure of themselves and go around posting threads asking for reassurance, serious I have seen about 5 or six of this surveys (am i cute?, how do I look?, do you like me?, what do you think about me?) and all of those threads are from great looking women.
It's shortsighted pointing the finger at Islam, this is more a cultural than a religious issue, "an eye for eye" is present in every monotheistic religion, you'll never see this punishment in Egypt, Qatar or Kuwait, to mention just a few (all of them muslim countries).
They don't need to have any acid laying around, once they feel "offended" they find the way to get some, this sick attacks are more usual than you may think.
Hi, I've just received an offer to relocate in Australia working for an Oil and Gas company, I'm just wondering what's the cost of living there, anyone living there or who have lived there can give me some advise? It'll be highly appreciated.
