I would have no problem traveling on my own I've done several times before.If I was traveling to meet someone I would wish to meet them in a public place.

Probably a meeting for a drink or something similar.

Or if all goes well you can always continue the date to include dinner,movie and dancing.

Or do something where you and your date can both talk the first time and really get to know one another.
