I'm with you man, I tend to be the nice guy, especially if it is a physical attraction thing. I tend to just let the date run its course. However, if we get to talking and it is for sure that our values clash, I am a little more direct.
I had a disaster date once, we were "setup". It was not online or anything.
She was attractive enough to hold my interest, but it wasn't 30 minutes into the date that I really started to see that her values were not the same as mine at all. I promptly ended the date, probably the most direct I ever have by saying something to the effect that it is clear that our friends either don't know us or are playing a practical joke on us, because we are about as opposite as we can be. No hard feelings towards you, but I am going to get out now while the getting is good.
Then I made sure to get my friend who set me up out on the boat the next weekend and make him beg so that I wouldn't leave him on the island where he went to use the bathroom.
I am on pain meds but have to watch the ant-inflammatories as they also tend to thin the blood and I am on cumadin or some other god aweful stuff to make sure I don't get a blood clot in my leg again.
My wee wee isn't really sore, but since my other thread with Fred's name revealed got deleted, I figured if I called him Fred it would get deleted too.

It kind of sums it up. I would like to say I am honest, and I really try to be. Sometimes though, I will admit that I am dishonest, especially when I don't see a benefit to honestly - for example, someone asks my opinion....I know if I tell them the truth, it is going to open a big can of worms so I just keep my opinion to myself and say something less inflammatory.
I think it is hard to compare apples and oranges. So many sports are so different, it makes it hard to compare.
My favorite sports people ever are Michael Jordon and the Admiral David Robinson for different reasons.
I liked David Robinson's integrity.
I loved to watch Michael play and did so in person on many occasions.
I was always mesmerized watching Barry Sanders carry the football.
All of these men are black, but that isn't why I like or dislike them. They excelled at their game, integrity was important, and they were truly entertaining at what the do.
I feel the same about Tiger Woods although I am not a big golf fan.
Sticking your tongue into the mouth of someone who doesn't want it has to be like sticking a tongue on a new 9 volt battery.
I personally wouldn't know....usually the girls I have kissed want more than I give them. I had one in particular that literally said, "Damnit, will you kiss me?"
I have personally witnessed 2 instances of divine healing and there was no other explanation. The healings were by very humble people who were seeking no rewards. The came in, quietly prayed, and left only to have both patients make complete recoveries.
One was a 17 year old girl who had some sort of bacterial infection that dr.s couldn't figure out. She was on a ventilator and not doing well. The 80 or so year old woman came in and asked if she could pray. We said yes, she did. Heather immediately began improving and left the hospital just a few short days later.
a 2nd was a boy who was to have brain surgery for a tumor. An area pastor came and prayed for him quietly. Everyone who witnessed it, including me can't even tell you what it was like. Just quiet, powerful prayer.....
The next day, no tumor was found in the little boy.
Well, I have rheumatoid arthritis but haven't really had a lot of pain from it for the most part. But it complicated this injury for sure.
I will be in rehab for like 6 months. And I am already pretty lean from my work out schedule, so it is amazing that I have atrophied 12 lbs since this all started....especially since I am pumped full of IV fluids and probably once that wears off I will be down 20-25.
I guess I am fortunate to not have had lots of health problems. I guess it is catching up to me now.
So, found out a few days ago that I have/had a bone infection in my hip which is likely why it broke during the accident. So, anyhoo, now I am 36 and sporting a brand new titanium steel alloy hip. I felt so young all my life, and now I feel so old.
Hopefully I will get out of this hospital by Friday so I can start recovering again again. I am not looking forward to the months of rehab.
I agree that the market is heavily dependent on the demand, and when demand goes down, so does the price.
However, the one thing I take issue with is that Big Oil is not some magical rainbow in a far away distant galaxy like so many believe. For anyone who owns a retirement account, be it a 401K, or any of the other mutual funds or managed accounts, the people who own the oil companies is Us.
So when politicians start talking about windfall taxes and all that, they are actually talking about raising the taxes that retirees pay, etc. because any publicly traded company is owned by individuals.

No, I don't obsess over it. If you get yourself worked up, either you will not get one, or you will kiss horribly. Just let it happen naturally.
