I will find a free photo space somewhere to link in some pictures I have got to add to this thread.
The Mailboat, Conrad, lovely image.
Approaching land in many parts of the world is an incredible feeling and sight, the scenery is so available to take in.
Still, entering the Granada road from Motril down where I live is breath taking. Suddenly there is a wall of rocks and the cars coming through bottom of the ravine looks so tiny and vulnerable. Do this at sunrise and it glows all red.
As I said, I will get some images posted and linked here.
I have this image of an old VW camper painted in some Hippie style fashion full of Bucharest people leaving for Malta. Is there a car ferry that we use?
Could add CS NYE Malta Expedition on the sides too for added effect
Just a note, Gambia is a hot spot for single Europeans in the Christmas. They do have the holiday as well there, easy to forget that many places like Thailand do not really have Christmas as such.
It is a medium budget place to go, loads of Scandinavians btw.
West Indies is a good place to, if you prefer meeting someone with his own wallet in order. Cost of living there need not to be too expensive, but Bahamas is a bit on the upside.
New Zealand Christmas is quiet, families goes together and it is very much like here in Europe, no singles visible anywhere, they are with their relatives.
Vanuatu, a fun place, lots of Australian singles go there for Holiday. The journey there is loooong but well worth it. Very good climate but on the top of a crack in the Earth and have numerous small earth quakes. Great excuse to throw yourself in the arms of the first handsome man you see.
Forget Maldives if it is not your honeymoon, that is what it is all about there. The Maldives is Muslim and do not have Christmas in either case.
There are more, but I think that if budget allows, start with looking at Costa Rica, Cuba and Dominica. Great fun and lots of nature loving singles with a mind for adventures. In the area you can also find real single resorts where the only rule is - No rules.
If a 24 hour flight does not scare you, go for the Pacific and Vanuatu.
And the budget choice has got to be Gambia, if you do not find your man there to bring home, you will find plenty to use and leave behind
RE: Financial Chaos...
Shy, easily embarrassed and making mistakes again?Age... I love my age, I am so happy I left my teenage behind.
But yet, yes I still climb rocks, dive in the sea and behave generally lunatic, so I guess some is still in there.
No recession in that area so far
