I think its wrong in as much if you are stating you are looking for a relationship and begin talking to a person and they are clearly interested.
I just cannot see the point of trying to be someone your not, life is hard enough as it is.

I agree Dru, for many of us its just not practical or affordable.
starting to feel that way, beats me why people just can't accept each others differences and leave the subject alone.
Even for me to text UK from here costs 1 euro, i keep in contact with family thro msn/yahoo unless in emergencies.
