...this is a matter of culture and culinary heritage.....what may be disgusting to you or me...may very well be a delicacy for others...
as an example...I will mention snails....
...just the thought of having them on a plate in front of me makes my stomach turn.....but a lot of people here go crazy having a plate of them cooked in garlic and oil to munch while drinking beer...
...it takes all kinds I guess...

it's a bit common animal that is eaten in my city
i mean snail
once i ever got trapped by some friends
so they said hey try this its the most delicious seafood in this city
then coz i thought it's really seafood as the shape was not like a snail anymore so i tasted it
then i felt and smell something strange from my tongue then i said its not like the smell of sea
its like the smell of soil
and then they were all laughing
and i finally found out it was snail

But this is what I said earlier on the matter.....matter of culture more or less....
...I mean for example dog is considered as edible if not mistaken in Viet Nam....as it was also by some Native American I believe....as was snake too....
...and a perfect example just came to mind....here locally....rabbit is not only a delicacy....but also a prime element of local cuisine.....
....to the shock and horror of a lot of British who consider bunnies as pets.....
