desy_desy: hey but here since we were a baby when we already can eat porridge, moms will give their baby the heart of the cow for the sidedishes and even the doctor here says its healthy for a growing up baby but its not good for adult it can make them get a blood high pressure if it is consumed too much
Yep....and that was before Cholesterol came into the picture too....
...for example....one thing which has now disappeared was what we used to called Mazzit......
...basically a kind of sausage that was made out of dried cow blood mixed in with herbs and seasoning and made out in long sausages.....one used to cut them in thick rings and fry them.....we used to have them instead of bacon with fried eggs and baked beans like.....
gozoman2: hehehehehehe...actually used to love it....
you do know where it came from no?....
...in earlier times....when only a small percentage of the population could actually afford to have beef to eat.....it was the poor man's replacement....since all the intestines would be thrown out with the rest of the offal.....and could be picked up for free by the poorer folk....who normally would have access to things like onions and potatoes and stuff.....since most were farmers anyway....
Culinary traditions do differ in many countries. When guinea pigs are grilled and served as a delicacy in Latin America, it's even hard to look at them on the plate... Felt very uncomfortable seeing these animals (that are pets in Europe) being grilled for bbq.
Worms ..... at the age of 2, according to my older loving brother who was there handing them to me at the time. Also some coal to add to his twisted experimental fun ..........

In France, Belgium and other countries, we consider as a delicacy escargot, with garlic frog legs foie gras oyesters (alive) tripes shrimps whole lobster We also eat regularly rabbit, with brown beer sauce or mustard sauce prawns veal liver pressed veal brain, with vinaigrette horse (at times when people could not afford beef) raw beef meet, with mayonnaise, onions, capers, gherkin
