A good question! I think I`d have years to read and study all I`d like to and then I`d just hit the road and backpack around the world a few times. But then, I think I`d better have an expiry date after all. Otherwise it `d end being boring or depressing as the others say.
Interesting point you raise here. It seems practcal enough. I wonder, though, bercause as languages shift and change so much in time, wouldn`t there be new/local variants again along the years? What do you think?
I know there was an attempt to apply Bello's spelling in chilean spanish at the beginning of the 20th century, but it did not catch.
As languages are alive, they may well have a will of their own?
I don`t think it has to do with a disability. If I may suggest, I`d say go over your profile, may be there`s something to modify there.Just my opinion. Good luck to you and have a great day!
Hi, Charli, thanks for answering. If you`re a native speaker`and already a teacher, you`ve certainly got something in your favour! I`m a South American TEFL teacher and teacher trainer. I really enjoy teaching the language. I find that being able to help someone learn to communicate in another language is so rewarding. When you are witness to people start getting in touch with another culture, from their own identity and culture, and making meaning across, when you see how much they have improved, it`s priceless! Plus working with the language allows for all the topics you can imagine. I have worked with practically all levels in all kinds of schools and have enjoyed each experience.
I know native English speakers who have come to work in my country and have fallen in love with it!
One of my rules in class is "You can say almost anything in my class as long as you say it in English"
Once a third grader challenged me saying I wouldn´t dare to wear a clown wig in class. I did and they behaved marvellously that day.
There`s not much money into teaching, but there`s fun along with the hard work.
I do not know that site, Jan, but something similar happened to me and I discovered that after 30 years the old chemistry was still there...
Just think of this: his sending a message implies that you were, and still are, meaningful to him. So, I`d say, go for it, girl and contact him! Good luck!
RE: Critique my new look and have fun.
