I act like a clown on the site, I think that is my way of coping with shyness, I know that is not good but at lease I'm interacting. I would feel shy flirting with a woman because I feel I'm not good enough . But if she makes the first move(happen once) it gave me a burst of confidence. To answer your question , maybe he needs a boost to make him feel good about himself...
