Unfortunately, there are those that are "players". Making sure that it's all to their own benefit whenever possible. And they don't care who's hearts they walk on.
I have learned this, the majority of the times when I have been told to "shut up" is when I was correct in what I was saying. When people hear something they don't like/or want to accept they get defensive, rude even.
