Do any of you participate in random acts of Christmas? I went out and visited my sick friend last night just to cheer her up as she is down in the dumpsright now...her house is an hour away from my place and it was -24C last night. Today I shovelled the snow out of my neighbours parking stall...she is a single mom.
I have been renovating my main bathroom for the last month and moaning about how long it's taking. I am thankful that I have the good fortune to have a house and the opportunity to renovate anything at all. I will be looking after my friend, when she gets out of the hospital this weekend, for 6 more weeks of recovery after her last surgery. I will try and make it a special weekend for her as she won't be able to do anything on her own.
1) Looking at your picture 2) Saturday mornings 3) Listening to some great rock and roll 4) Getting something accomplished 5) Looking at your picture...on a Saturday morning...while listening to music...
Yes we are here...a little gun shy at times as I have been through the wringer with a few women as well. I actually moved from Ontario to Alberta to get away from a nasty ex-wife.
Baby when I think about you I think about dough Darlin’ I can’t live without you You got my dough If I had those golden dreams Of my yesterdays They’d be yours through the legal system You always get your way
Feel like makin’… Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough for you
Baby life’s good without you When your far away Darling I like you better When your far away And if I had another house to Give to you I would do so like Dorothy did To the witch in Oz
Feel like makin’… Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough for you
And if I had those golden dreams Of my yesterdays They’d be yours through the legal system You always get your way
I feel like makin’… Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough Feel like makin’ dough for you
I wrote this song 10 years ago after going through a miserable divorce. After losing everything I thought I would put my thoughts down in the only way I knew how. Anyone got any bitterbreakups you want to share?
Now having said all that we still have to move on as life is still for the living. It's hard but you have to try and find a new person to fill up your life...and that can be a lot of fun once you get the mindset again.
You don't realize how devastating it is when you lose someone that way. I hope nobody has to go through it until they are very old, so they have had a complete life together. Good luck to all.
We have awful drivers here. It's like a code of honour that they must overtake you to get into your lane...even if they have to cut you off in the process. There is no way in hell that they would "yield" to the heathen driver and pull in behind them like civilized humanoids.
Well, be thankful you aren't in one of the other current threads as they are tearing each other apart. Certainly answers a lot of questions in this thread.
I get ignored all the time...whatever...there seem to be certain ones here that just like to say hi to each other like it's a status symbol or something. whatever floats your boat
Yes...I met my partner 8 years ago on an internet dating service. We would still be happily ever after if she didn't lose her battle with cancer last year. The best thing about a dating service is you know the other person is looking also, as you are only guessing when you see someone who catches your eye elsewhere(bar, store...etc.)Makes it easier to ask as far as I'm concerned. and here I am again...
I don't know why people fight...I suppose it's easier to say something nasty than think up something intelligent. I guess you could just ignore the ones who are trying to start something and just move on
I was with my partner for 8 years and it just grew stronger all the time. Unfortunately she passed away last year and I will always love her. When you find the right person it doesn't fade at all.
