I don't hide behind my daughter, that's silly. I chose not to share my dating stuff with her because she is very young. We talk about everything so I'm sure she will know more as she matures. I think it's a parent's perogative. Nobody knows their children better and every kid and situation is different.
This is a good topic. For me, I think it depends on the situation really. I think it will take a very long time (up to a year) before the next man gets introduced to my kid. I have been extremely guarded in this area and my kid never knew about my dating in the past. This is a choice I made and don't regret.
Finding a best friend would be awesome. Finding true love would be a blessing. Finding a best friend and true love in one person would be out of this world! Just spectacular!

It's all crap because if a person is so open minded, easygoing, likes to explore new things, fun loving and open to most anything, then why are they single??
There are a lot of really awesome men and women in the world. That is a stupid question if you ask me. I find it interesting when some people ask "Are there any good guys left on this planet". Those are the folks who are usually looking for the wrong thing or have other motives. Grow up.
No, not miserable, just bored. I have found this insomnia business to be a lonely condition at times. I always feel like I'm waiting for the world to wake up!
