I'm not really a fan of either to be honest, but I always enjoy reading someone else's perspectives on things. I am fairly certain I still have Decline of the West in a box somewhere though lol
Solitare, I've read numerous things regarding her, from anti-semitism (obviously) to her having her brothers works published, but to be honest I wasn't aware any of his writings were possibly hers. Definitely something I will look into.
But it's more a matter of just seeing if anything will stay on topic, I don't really even care about the subject matter I presented lol
The following is an excerpt from Daybreak wr. by F Nietzsche. Agree with it, hate it, love it, voice a different opinion, I don't care but please respond to it in some form.
But please refrain from other comments about others opinions and such.
I'm curious if anything can stay on topic lol
QUOTE Men have on the whole spoken of love with such emphasis and so idolized it because they have had little of it and have never been allowed to eat their fill of this food: thus it became for them 'food of the gods'. Let a poet depict a utopia in which there obtains universal love, he will certainly have to describe a painful and ludicrous state of affairs the like of which the earth has never yet seen - everyone worshipped, encumbered and desired, not by one lover, as happens now, but by thousands, indeed by everyone else, as the result of an uncontrollable drive which would then be as greatly execrated and cursed as selfishness had been in former times; and the poets in that state of things - provided that they were left alone long enough to write - would dream of nothing but the happy, loveless past, of divine selfishness, of how it was once possible to be alone, undisturbed, unloved, hated, despised on earth, and whatever else may characterize the utter baseness of the dear animal world in which we live. END QUOTE
RE: UNDER BLUNDER 2
you have to take into account who it might end up on I guess lol
