It's not nice Aria lol

I think it's supposed to be rather frightening grin

RE: Losing your religion?

I posted the definition to make it clear what the question asked. You were twisting holy into something it isn't.

Did I fault your beliefs? Did I call you a hypocrite? I said what you were talking about isn't holy.

You said you weren't religious, therefore what I said had squat to do with you. I said that those who ARE religious yet pose the questions are. I guess you were too busy taking it personally to read what it said. I found no fault with your "inner spirit/spirituality" comments.

I'm making comments on the original query and you're off and running with Tumpa's interpretations of what holy is and how the meaning of the word is irrelevant.

RE: Losing your religion?

Yes, it's easier to reply than to post an original idea tongue

Your turn grin

RE: Losing your religion?

HOLY

1. specially recognized as or declared sacred by religious use or authority; consecrated: holy ground.
2. dedicated or devoted to the service of God, the church, or religion: a holy man.
3. saintly; godly; pious; devout: a holy life.

Spirituality isn't holy.

My problem with the original post is the use of the word HOLY. Holy isn't up for interpretation. It's a pointed, specific query.

So if one reads the query there is nothing to think about. God is the answer. Anyone who ponders the query isn't religious because religion has already handed you all the answers. 'Heaven' forbid anyone of any particular religion question said religion. To be 'holy' and question the beliefs you claim to believe makes you a ... oh, guess I better not say it.

I'd LOVE to debate your views on it but I don't have any better answers to counter it with so I'm unable.

RE: Losing your religion?

The entire quote is a quuery. The thread title is the question. As I read it anyway. dunno

RE: Losing your religion?

You're right. Stupid choice of words on my part. While I'm quite obviously not 'religious' I do respect what you're saying.

I don't regret the fact that it actually geenrated some response though.

RE: Losing your religion?

I didn't post a question.

RE: Losing your religion?

You seem to post these philosophical bits all the time and never offer anything up as far as your opinion, why's that? confused

RE: Losing your religion?

The beginning and end of that query aren't related. One would have to believe that there is anything "HOLY" in the first place to be able to 'regain' it. Seeing as how we spend our entire lives growing away from 'what is' or 'what was' most aren't likely to even pose the questions to steer them towards anything related to 'being'.

Bottom line ... no one cares. (no, not your post, meaning in general)

Now all the hypocrites are bound to post about how they care and ponder this all the time. grin

Seeing as how I don't have unlimited funds, I'm going to assume it's someone else's money grin

RE: Whats the Hype about older women dating younger guys?

Aria and Jonquille.

No, that would be my shiny new Coleman lantern. Yours, TODAY ONLY for the LOW LOW price of only $399.95, plus shipping, taxes and a modest handling fee. thumbs up

RE: How does online dating make you feel?

Just sounds to me like he didn't get his way and lashed out in an immature fashion.

If all the women on the forums just wanted to get laid there would be a LOT more guys on them grin

RE: Fly by.....

I looked outside too. DUCK SOUNDS pretty close to what I was thinking as well grin

RE: Fly by.....

I heard he got banned by a regular on the International side. No idea why so asking me why will be useless.

RE: Why?

I was once told that if a man is involved or married some other woman has already deemed him worthy of a relationship so it's sort of a weeding out process already done. I guess the fact that if he responds meaning he's a cheating S.O.B. didn't occur to her laugh

RE: Lost Friendships

Timing is the key in my opinion Lorraine.

It sounds to me now like he doesn't have the balls to tell you he's cutting you loose. I'm sure this isn;t what you wanted to hear, and I'm sorry to say it but I'd leave it be. He might never correspond again. Forcing his hand for an explanation as to why is just as likely to cause him to lie as it is to give you closure, which won;t work either.

I hope I'm mistaken but I can't help think you already had this occur to you.

Hope it works out regardless what the reason is or how it goes from here on. comfort

RE: Lost Friendships

I'm going to quote you on that every chance I get.
