I'm used to be in here, International and European often. OK European not so often, this place is a madhouse compared to thiers, it's a slower to get rolling.
It's just my take on it, not trying to tell you what you should or shouldn't do. I just think this forum actually has a Canadian "flavour" if you will.
Perhaps you could enlighten me. What would the purpose in mirroring the International site be? Almost everyone who uses the forums uses International to some extent. Wouldn't this forum just become redundant?

You're free to start or do anything you see fit to do as far as threads, I just don't see the need to mirror the International side when it's there if we choose to use it.
Wouldn't be concerned with whether or not you are or aren't.
Bit of a sidenote though, might not want to troll the Inernational forum looks for all comers to our quiet little community. We'd end up with countless "XXXXXXX the person above you threads", any real communication gets bumped into oblivion before anyone gets a chance to notice it
Here's how it works. I did something I had never done before. I'll tell you about it and what I learned if anything, then PICK someone else, and they have to do something they have never done before, tell us about it and then pick someones else to do something ......
It doesnt matter how trivial it seems, as long as it's something you have NEVER done before.
This is obviously going to be a slow game due to it not just being open to all takers. Bear with it, it might take off, time will tell.
So today I painted a canvas. Apparently I'm a cubist, a very bad cubist If you've never painted with oils, I'd highly suggest it. The feel of a nice brush allows you to actually feel the texture of the cloth for the first couple strokes. You might even be able to paint
OK, so here goes the return bit. I never announced I was leaving, just needed a little perspective of sorts that I don’t care to go into here. I’m saving it for the book and movie deal. I thought I might, but hadn’t made any hard decisions about length of my sabbatical until something was blown out of proportion and this thread began. Plus the background noise was getting in the way off all the tongues wagging while nothing was being said.
Some old doors are closing, some new ones are opening. My time at CS and maybe even my posting habits will be drastically different now. Too many pokers in too many fires it seems.
