So let me get this sorted...by your own addmission you haven't a clue who the subject of this poll is but you felt compelled to answer anyway. Do you routinely offer your opinion about that which you have no clue?

If you had a clue then surely you would realize that indeed it was an inside joke and would have passed it by seeing as you are obviously on the outside...

If one looks at basic needs for survival one finds security right up there...security has evolved along with everything else...back in the day security for a woman meant a guy who could run down and antelope or intimidate a saber tooth tiger...today security ultimately means finances.

No mystery here...but something that's changed along the way is the fact that since security has evolved from something very physical into something more cerebral the gender difference has been marginalized to the extent that both genders are basically able to provide that security in this day and age.

So finances shouldn't really enter into it unless you are a neanderthal...

moonlove you live in Thailand and are asking people who mostly don't live in Thailand for advice on something that is very cultural. Thai culture and western culture are vastly different so it's not the best idea to consult Falang about a Thai family problem...better to ask your classmates and friends.


90% of western falang will answer no to your question because they don't understand the cultural dynamics involved. I don't see it as a yes or no question...more like consult your feelings about your mom and your need for a boyfriend and find out which is stronger...also consider the pros and cons of each situation and make the decision that hurts you the least.

Tough choice I know but put some effort into it and I'm sure you'll work it out.

what is that dynamic that is so prevalent in people to choose a side? Nobody knows anything about the girl in question but what the op describes and everyone is on her like a pack of starving vultures.

The op even cops to basically being a stalker and still most are on his side of it...he's been talking to her for 4 days online and it seems to me the best guess is that he poured it on a bit too thick for this girl and freaked her out. he comes across here as if he'd been talking to her for months, and acts like 4 days is the required time to know someone...


My advice to the op is to chill the **** out and slow your roll in future. Nobody is attracted to desperate mate...and if they are you don't want them...
