You absolutely CAN become emotionally vested here, to the point of hurt. Did it, done it, doing it. Yup, some is not possible, but it's nice confirmation that you can still feel.

Today I was the recipient of the most unbelievable act of kindness, stemming from a group of ladies in a discussion group I participate in.
These are real folks online, so be kind to each other.
Instead of getting overwhelmed by the stress of the holiday season, use it as an opportunity to take a step back. Look at yourself, look at others, find a way to better yourself and to touch another even through the simplest gesture.

Question...probably not. Whether we like it or not, outside can reflect TONS of inside. No, it's not all about outer beauty, but meetings usually take place based on first impressions.
Not a damn soul in here can say they pick out the ugliest person in the room, overwhelmed with desire to meet them.
It's a physical first impression. How they dress, how they carry themselves, if they glow with confidence, yes even hygeine.
After that, THEN you figure out what all the hype is about and see if it's somebody you click with.
It's easy to sound self righteous in text, but I'd love to follow some of these people around some Friday night to see if they really practice what they preach.
