No this is definately not what their religion is about, it gets twisted and used just like any other religion. the bad folk get a hold of it and use it as a weapon.

Hi there you, glad you are enjoying it there, it is an amazing country as you well know. You are indeed correct but there are still obstacles to overcome there and it is in our human nature to prevent, protect and unfortunately disrupt and destroy, what good there is left. but never give up hope.
It will enlighten you to a different level of thinking when you are walking on history, but it does not mean to say you have to believe in any religion to appreciate that it is incredibly spiritual over there. The cradle of civilisation as some call it.
