I think as we go further into the future less imagination will be required to play with toys.
In the past we would have to move the parts on the toys ourself. We would do the voices for them in our head we would interact the toys together in an imaginary setting we thought up. Now toys have much more detail, move more and more on their own... have larger and larger vocabulary... Some toys even interact with each other when they are in proximity of each other. Even settings are created for children since more toys are spinning off of TV shows and movies.
was a long time before my Gi Joe had his own cartoon show. My Superhero toys came from comics that were available for me to read.. not Movies that pushed said toys.
It may very well be lost. However. I can only really control myself and teach my children and guide them but ultimately I am responsible for me. So I will continue to have integrity because in my mind, that is the right thing to do.
many times I often feel patronized instead of loved. Only genuine love I feel comes from my girls. The rest I get seem patronizing, or obligatory ( like from family )
Often if they come to you complaining of their mood there are looking for sympathy, attention they are not getting or help to resolve it.
If they do not wish to talk about after you inquire as to why they are in this state of mind. I would try to drop it and not play the 20 question game.
If you are the one asking them why they look down or upset and they are not sharing... just offer them your ear for when they are ready for another person in their corner. Follow up with a smile.
for me tonight is a big salad with a Ginger dressing. Live the ginger dressing it is like they give you on that little salad you get when ordering sushi.
Have a little left over Banquet Meal to finish up.
Kids are out at the Ikea this eve with their aunt so they will be having meatballs.
In email or in IM chat ... have you ever tried to say something in jets or had verbage been taken the wrong way because the recipient failes to see facial expressions or tone of voice so can not full understand they way the message was intended to be interpreted?
How bad has this misinterpretation made a situation for you?
often our choices and what the law forces us to do are two different things. I would say the best thing is keep them in the stable environment you are providing them with out the chaos of changing places so often. Reserve weekend or every other weekend for the other parent.
I am thinking it may have been helpful at a time in my life.. People of tell may I take too much on an internalize it. I do not get angry enough they say. I just not a person that likes anger
More of an observation and just a person that likes to have more choices. In my past certainly less heath conscious. Now that I am basically the sole provider/parent for my kids I am watching it more. However I will certainly dive into the "unhealthy" choices from time to time as well...
The McDonald thing was on the news last night so I thought I would mention it.
McDonalds is changing their oil they use for their French fries to a 0 TransFat oil. to be completed by 2008.
Helps but I am not thinking the Oil used is the only think at McDonalds that is not overly fattening for people. Would be nice to see som more Low fat choices at fast food. BurgerKing as well. They do not even offer a salad with out meat on it.
