Well if you read Ttom and rizards posts GG they don't think it's possible to get a fair trial outside the US or UK. They think the are in a better position than the Jury to find a verdict from what they have read in the papers.

One idiot was even blaming an incident from WW11 and saying thats why an italian jury might convict her.

How dare you called me closed minded. It is you who think that you are in a better pposition than the Italian Jury. They sat through the whole case, listened to all the evidence and reached a decision of Guilty! But you in you snobbish attitude think by just reading some articles in the paper you have the right to question them?????? And you say i have a chip on my shoulder and am closed minded. How do you know what i do or dont know about Italy!!!!!!! My best freind is Italian and i visit there often. We can all quote single incidents about corruption in any country and that includes my own, The UK and US so that PROVES NOTHING. What has it to do with this case?????????????????/

Yes you did. We will probably get a 5 page reply on a totally different subject. It just saddens me that there are people out there that believe that a country like Italy has a corrupt legal system and ordinary Italian people would put an innocent woman away because they dont like American foreign policy.
It is just grasping at straws. No legal system is perfect but i dont think the Italian one is any worse or better than our own ones. JMO.

Where are you getting these so called Facts?????? You are getting them from the US media who are catering to a US audience. They are biast in this case. You are calling items you are obvioulsy reading as fact! And judging by your last post it is plain to see that you want here released. I have faith in the judicial systems of all EU, US and first world countries. Although no system is perfect it really annoys me that when a citizan of the US or UK is convicted of a crime in a foreign country there is an outcry.
You said she may be innocent or guilty well i beg to differ,. She was found guilty by an Italian court so in my eyes she is guilty. If someone has any real evidence to prove me wrong i will eat my words but US and UK media propaganda is not eveidence. Do you guys believe everything you read in the paper.
I have faith in the Italian Police, Judge and Jury.

What???????????????? Are you talking about the people who spent 16 years in prison because they were framed by Scotland Yard? Yes we were really listened to by the British Government and people then.

IT CAME TO LIGHT YEARS ON BECAUSE SCOTLAND YARD HID IT FROM THE DEFENCE!!!!!!
They knew they had alabi's and ignored the fact. And none of them were guilty because the same cell planted both bombs and that cell admitted to both bombing as well as many others during the trials. They gave facts that only the bombers would know. You really should not have such blind faith in British Justice.

No....What gives you as a British man to have any say in Italys Judicail system? In Italy they believe she is guilty, the Italian Police force think she is guilty, The Italian Jury thought she was guilty, The Judge thought she was guilty. The crime happened in Italy. She was found guilty. She has an appeal process...End Of.

I was not at the trial but it really gets my goat up that people in the UK and the US are so quick to slag off other countries Judicial systems and start picking holes.
Why the hell would they want to falsly convict this American girl? What does Italy get from this. Has anyone considered that she is guilty and the Italian Police done a good Job, the Judge done a good Job and the Jury made the correct decision????

You are not British by any chance? How do you know they made a mess of it. The Portugese police think the Mc Canns are involved and a lot points to that but because they are British the British people slate the Portugese Police and Judicial system. Coming from a country with a record of so many miscarriges of justice i think this lack of faith in other countries legal system is laughable.
