I was on that same situation after the first few visits. Then, one good day, I persuaded my money to reunite with me, but I couldn't resist the temptation and I spent it right there, getting myself a room in the New York New York casino, as high I could get, and I woke up to a beautiful CSI style view of the roller coaster, the airport and Tropicana Ave.
You were the one who mentioned the word "relationship" in your response to kylepurity2, I was just responding to that.
As I said in my first post, I don't necessarily expect a reply when I send a compliment. I simply enjoy sending it. For example yesterday, I sent flowers to a woman who is taller than myself, and for that reason I know that we will not be seeing each other as potential partners. I didn't get a response from her, but it wasn't necessary. I just felt like sending the flowers and it was nice to do so.
You don't have a "relationship" when you're just sending a compliment to someone you don't know. It's only first contact, and for that reason the link that kylepurity2 posted is relevant and very informative. Those guys who run the OKC site are Harvard graduates and they do some serious data mining of their entire user base before writing those blog entries.
There is no rule about that, and an answer based on statistics might be meaningless.
IMO. compliments do not require a response. The act of giving the compliment can be just as satisfying for the sender as it may be for the recipient. If you absolutely expect a response then you have an ulterior motive, and it is not just a compliment that you're sending.
Yes, I'd say it's interesting. There is also a negative side to it though, for example that I have to see NCIS in Italian and Hellmann's mayonnaise is nowhere to be found in this beautiful country.
I love Burger King and its greasy Whoppers, but I would never suggest it for a date, much less for a first date. Even if the guy was to pay for both, that's cheap!
If the guy is short of cash he can still keep it affordable, but for a first date he should think of somewhere with bit more stylish, like a nice coffee shop at the very least.
Pay careful attention to the profile text and details. Scammers tend to give themselves away easily. They are often people who don't understand English. They just get some text from somewhere and they copy/paste, and when they have to answer simple factual questions using a drop down box they have no clue.
For example, a few days ago I saw someone who claimed to be 19 years old, but under "Wants Kids:" he selected "No, but I love my grandkids"
RE: VH 1 Greatest: Which do you choose as the Greatest Rock N Roll Band?
I wouldn't call all those bands Rock N Roll bands. At least Pink Floyd is progressive rock and Michael Jackson is not rock at all, but pop.Out of the list I'd choose Pink Floyd, but my favorite band is Genesis, (old and new).
