Everyone on the planet is under surveillance by satellite......... There isn't a place on the surface of this planet that can't be seen, any time the powers-that-be wish it.

Criminals are too stupid to know, or care, that they are being watched.

It is the same in every walk of life though. Someone once told me in business that if you do a good job the recipient/customer will tell 10 people, and if you do a bad job, they will tell 100.

While I understand you are young, you still have no right to insult me by inferring I am an informer. That was a very ignorant thing to say to anyone.

Now give me an insane and inhumane law that applies to you personally, that you have had to break/buck that law on?

So you feel indimitaded by the cameras? They serve to keep you safe too, and to bring those who might harm you to justice by being able to identify them. Depends on how you look at it of course.

Only place I have been to in Illinois was Chicago, and any police I encountered there were very polite, but then I wasn't breaking the law or anything, so I didn't get to see what they may have been like in different circumstances.....

I think there is corruption in every facet of public life and there will always be those tho bend rules to suit themselves, but everyone, or even whole departments can't be tarred with the same brush for the sins of a few.

I don't work in the police department, but many members of my family do. Do you have bad experiences of police too?

Police everywhere are not the same. They are a group like any other, made up of individuals who, in this case, here in Ireland, serve the public, unless you are on the wrong side of the law.

I can understand that in some countries the police may be corrupt and to be feared, but that has never been my experience here.

I am sorry if your experience was different, but you can't just generalise and lump all police together.

The new one, and another one I have only seen once when he was 3 weeks old.

Trying to get better, but chest infection turned into pleuresy after two weeks of antibiotics. Now dose is doubled, to see if that works. Making me lethargic and apathetic.

My get-up-and-go just got-up-and-went.

If love can't be measured, then do we ask for specific things, like someone who cooks for us, or is a good provider, or who makes us laugh at ourselves, or is sincere and deep, or doesn't mind clipping our toenails, for example,......... as requirements for the kind of love we are looking for,............... as opposed to the generalising that usually goes on, where everyone says things like must have a GSOH (when no two senses of humour are alike), or, likes going for walks, or loves animals, or other generalised phrases..........

Is everyone capable of love ? Not sure about that really. Everyone has a different idea of what they think love is.

Is feeling love not wanting the best for the person you love ? I would have thought so. It's supposed to be about giving isn't it?

People who set out to hurt us do feel for us. Is that love? or jealousy or bitterness or hate ? I think it is nearly always about control, and often about selfishness and wanting things their way. To me, selfishness holds no place in a loving relationship.

Have we contributed to their feelings? We always contribute, whether inadvertantly or on purpose, to the feelings of others. We often trigger responses in them, towards us, or others, by something we say, or how we approach something, trigger memories for them, or just by our physicality sometimes.


Have we played games with that person 'cashing in on their feelings'? There are certainly a lot of game players about. I have never personally played games, though have to admit there were times when I was sorely tempted to egg them on to see them rattled. Game playing is dangerous if a partner has anger issues, or you are not sure of them.

I have often wondered what the questions are, that elicit the answers we need, as to what kind of values people have, around love, and their definition of it.

Can't match values on a subject if you can't ask the questions, now can you?
