I like posts that have obviously had some thought go into them. I dislike one-liners, unless it is a joke thread or something. Seeing a post that has some substance attracts me, personally.
A snappy sense of humor is always good, and if I see someone with a similar sense to mine, I will be more inclined to post back to them.
Yep, I find it much easier shopping on my own...if you wanna spend 2 hours deciding on which purse is right for you (because, as we all know, its a VERY important issue..), then you cant do that with someone huffing and puffing in the corner, sighing away because they are bored..
Not having to get up for work; lying in bed with a hot cup of tea, followed by a hot cup of coffee!
Its a part of the week that I have quiet time, and time to think about my past week, and reflect on the week to come, stick my hair up in a scruffy knot on the top of my head, put on a face pack, or just mess about doing whatever I want for an hour or so..
I think its good to have some time to oneself, and I find it energise me for the rest of the weekend..
What do you do on your ME Time? Do you appreciate it?
Absolutely agree, 1000%.. Was just gonna post something similar to this.
Some it seems think its best to try and dampen that excitement from the start. If you go into a meeting like this with such a high barrier of wariness around you, its on a losing wicket from the start.
Thats part of the joy of online dating - yes, there are disappointments, but surely part of it IS the unknown, and taking sensible risks, bla bla..
Youre not going to meet Your Ole Granny - youre off to meet a prospective date who may, if you are lucky, bring happiness and laughter and love.
Protect your physical wellbeing and safety, of course..but be open..
Its not an easy subject to talk about, coz we all think we are immortal, and wont need to worry about dying!! In fact, not long ago, D started talking about it, and I got quite upset just thinking about the fact. But, it has to be done..
You should do one, as you have kids. Doesnt cost much; you dont need to go to a lawyer to do one. It can be written on the back of a postage stamp, as long as its notorised its legal..
Im really pleased you are doing this course. I know a few good lawyers in Dublin and Cork. When I left, the jobs were scarce, but usually in better times there are usually firms always hiring.
Ive done legal administration for many years, and bumped up to do paralegal work in the last couple of years. I hope you enjoy it! If you want any advice, please feel free to email me!
Anyway, Wills are so, so important. Younger people, (as I did) say.."Oh, Im WAY too young to start thinking about a Will". WRONG!! Life can be cruel, and accidents can easily happen to any of us...
My advice would be, as soon as you have any property of any sort, not just a house, etc, but any kind of possessions that mean something to you (jewelery, etc), do a Will. But, especially when you buy a house/apartment, for Gods Sake do a Will.
Once you have kids, or step kids, its also real important to leave a Will. That goes without saying, really.
Its not just possessions that make a Will important, either. Its expressing your wishes on HOW you want to be buried. I think its important for the deceased's family to bury them in the way they would like.
In my work, I have seen so many bitter disputes about Wills. However, once a Will is in place its pretty impossible to challenge it. Make sure you have Executors named clearly too.
Dying Intestate (without a Will) causes sooo much hassle, heartache and expense, and if you are not careful, some, or all of an Estate can go to the State if it is not claimed properly.
Denmark is part of the Visa Waiver Program. If you are indeed a Danish Citizen, with a Danish Passport, you dont need ANY type of visa to visit your daughter here. You can come through on the VWP and stay as long as you like as a tourist, up to 90 days.
The only way you would be denied entry under this route is if you have some kind of criminal record, or similar..
I guess its just that they either charge less for the commercial air time, and so have to offer more, or that they are just plain greedy..
Seriously, I dont know. I do know it does drive me crazy, especially when Im watching a movie.
I will say that, in the case of special sports events in particular, they do make exceptions, and have "Commercial Free" periods, in order to enjoy them.
There is also one channel that is called the Public Broadcasting System, which is funded totally by the viewers, which is totally commercial free. The viewers choose the programs, and its a joy to watch. I watch it alot, as there are alot of good BBC dramas etc on it.
It doesnt matter why you are wanting to immigrate here. Whether its down the family route, or the work route - either way, you have to be sponsored by a US Citizen or a company here, for a while at least. I think thats fair, dont you?
That ensures that any newcomers are not immediately claiming off the State when they arrive. Seems fair to me, anyway..
Gotta say, I actually find the TV here quite annoying. The commercials are constant, and there are alot of quite silly shows. Also, certainly in the area that I live in, you HAVE to have either cable or satellite. There is no Countrywide station, like RTE or the BBC.
My most fave new addition to my TV Hall of Fame is Family Guy. Totally brilliant and so funny..
