RE: True meaning of "Voluptuous"

There is the bigger question of how we see ourselves and weather or not we have the courage to tell it as it is without dressing it up in double talk...

Me, Im Voluptious.....('er, perhaps that should read FAT!)
And heres the kicker, Im OK with others telling me im fat...
Trouble is, were all so caught up in political correctness and terrified of offending other peoples sensibilities that we "tip toe" around issues of size, status and ethnicity like were comitting some great crime against the individual...
We could all do with a tall glass of "cop on" and just call it how it is...Life would be so much easier if we said what we meant...
Or, maybe im just to cool with being myself!...

Anyhows...I didn't call myself Lardzeppelin cos i was waisting away...

Regards...Lard...thumbs up

RE: Car Repair Help

Dont do it!...
You will live to regret it, im tellin ya!...
I paid €150 for my 98 1.2 and i have given up driving my focus for a cheap as chips runner that does over 400 miles on 50 bucks...
Whats not to like in that?...
(working for renault helps with costs from time to timelaugh )

RE: Who is your favorite Dr Who incarnation and why?

...I grew up in the hartnell / pertwee era, remember them both with affection...see no mention of peter cushing from the two DW film spin offs of the 60s...
but on reflection, id say christpher eccleston would be my first choice, much would have to do with russle t davis's terrific script input...
fair to say, the new age DW shows benefit from great story telling and improved budgets and sfx...
good to see a sci fi tradition going from strength to strength...

RE: Who is the best drummer?

...Akira Jimbo...

Just so you can see the potential of drum synthisis...
Ground breaking stuff, and this was a few years ago by now...
What you see here is an exercise in MIDI(musical instrument digital interface)operation...
Drum triggers are placed on the rims of each ot the tom heads, Akira hit each of these triggers to initiate a different sound...
also incorperated is a midi "splash pad" for central system control...
Like the music or not (and i do!), you have to respect the progressive approach to drumming / percussion...

The John Wayne Potato Harrasment Thread...

Hi Sunnydaze...

Long story short...There was a thread this evening from a VERY unhappy "camper", If you missed it, then good for you...(shocking language, and im not kidding)...
But somewhere along the 17th page, the topics turned to John Wayne and Potatos, I know it sounds cracked, but hey, who said life was simple...
Anyway, the site marshalls closed down the thread just as it was getting interesting...
What could i do?...I needed the answers to vital potato questions and broke a vow of silence to create something sweet and innocent....
And so, welcome to the JWPH thread...
All potato stories will be treated with respect and confidance for the potatos involved...

All the best...Lard...handshake

Oh, please...Me and Rum have had an uneasy relationship...
