I cant go as far as I once could but I wonder what it would be to have a get together somehow in either Seattle Washington.....close to parts of canada and Oregon and washington.....maybe others too. That or maybe in Vegas...I might not be able to pull that off but I think if there was a lot of people it would be worth it. I and another member arranged one here in Portland but it was not that great,,,only because we did not get a very good turn out. The one I went to in Ireland went pretty good I would say, I think that many people had a nice time,,,,people even flew in for other countries to that one. I would also like to go South as in South of the border,,but maybe that is just wishful thinking.

Ok, what country is egual in size that has a fairly similar government. Maybe Australia? ok, Australia is a bit bigger and it has a far less population than the USA. It goes mush deeper than that as well and the simple fact that both countries have very different motivations of what they have chosen to be. You can take Canada and compare it to the USA as well, This is probably the closest in size but the population of Canada is close to one tenth the size of the USA. Taking these differences alone shows how much of a difference in managing one country to the next is going to be very different, thus, what works in Canada may not work in the USA at all. Now factor in the way each Country developed and what it is today. You simply can not pick and choose in this way that you wish. If you are going to scrutinize the type of country in one way to get the numbers in your favour than you must also look at other very pertinent and active components in what make up each of these countries. Quite frankly for a dating site we are asking ourselves to fix the problems in a nation that has been shaped over so many years and extremely different histories. You of course may choose to ignore what I say but if you really start reading about this gun issue which is now under the microscope you will see that many experts and also many that are one sided giving their opinions have so many new views that become more complex every day. Furthermore you and I have no idea how long we have before a new agenda will take a precedence above all this and everyone will move the focus to that issue. Whatever we do here in the USA we do not want to make things worse or have a all out civil war due to this one agenda. we have so many other active agendas that we could end up lower than those 3rd world countries that you wish to dismiss in comparison. Take something like a nationwide depression, yes, worse than what it is now, way worse. That would take our minds to new places. Or what about a major war. That would also take us all to a very different place. It is dangerous to blow thing out of proportion and than implement a answer to all those problems. Are we that clever to solve the nation or worlds problems on this thread or site? if so we will become the next people to go into the history books and you would have to have a profile foto. LOL....but I hope you are able to move yourself to a different mindset and see what it is you are asking or even asking of a whole nation. DO YOU THINK THEY ARE LISTENING? I doubt it, and if so that they would use what we have been discussing. ok. that is just something to look at. just a different perspective of why it is so hard to compare all countries than get selective without really getting selective. I see it hard to compare thee USA to many of the countries that are so much smaller and possibly easier to put in a state of control at the point that many have suggested without a very big big repercussion. Logic is far more than taking one element and not looking at all the rest of the factors that exist. breathe. ;-}

Just to clarify, it is not what I would wish for the USA , no, not at all. I am fairly certain that if things keep going in that direction ( if they are at all ) I would rather be somewhere else. I always enjoyed Hungary. But I do not know what direction politically they are going these days. NO, I truly have no concept or strong vision of some place to live these days. I think that I will most likely be here for now and I have a certain belief in the people of this Country that is my home. I hope we can get that momentum going in the right direction and rebuild trust, we must conquer Fear. Too many people both in and out of the USA are running scared and willing to make any decision as long as it alleviates this damned Fear. We have a lot more going for us then we give ourselves credit for. We have indeed overcome bigger things than this. Don't sell the farm. We still have the cellar if the big winds hit us hard. LOL.
Well, what if they started by the removal of all sales of ammunition, and to make it a little more sneaky lets say that they leave a form at all prior Ammo sales locations that you can fill out a "written" request for a review of your ammo needs. things like what caliber, where you live. And then after awhile just have local police do a door to door and ask you to hand over your gun for a certificate to wallmart! LOL. AND all the meanwhile give it a good endorsement in the press. I bet that they would get a lot of people that would go for it. Not everyone, but if they can reduce the numbers than that would be a step in that direction. Some people will just cooperate because they were taught to honor the Police. Later on down the road after all rights have been tossed to the wind and some aforementioned folks in other lands are speaking new languages, the new task force might just go to select homes and take the guns by force. Well, it might sound extreme but so did portable communicating devices the size of your palm, and micro cameras. Like someone said. "The People must be careful what they choose to give away, don't give away your rights" Our ancestors came here for a reason. And I for one hope this country does not lose those rights that we already fought for. Maybe the people will be put to the test again. We must think intelligently to overcome the challenges or someone will do it for us.
I am truly and sincerely grateful that nothing here represents the future and how it will unfold. Just as you have stated that you feel this way about radicals, I also would not want "fear" to be the motivation for change.
I hope that for whichever one your friend chooses that they are happy. I was kidding about the sending the fans away, there are always more to take the place. But I do think that it is important that both people are feeling Love for one another. That is very important I really think.... ;-}
