Abnormal almost all your posts are about being single. There is a huge difference between desperate and dateless. Would anyone meet your unrealistic expectations.

To all you wonderful people who have given me a gentle kick up the bum, advice and offers of help, i thank you.
I did get work done on the back deck, a new laundry window, new iron, shadecloth and new battens BUT the $3000 quote for labour has now cost me $4000 and i still have to pay for the timber and iron when the accounts come.
Jem is here for a few days and she thinks i have paid enough. Time to grit my teeth if they ever get back to finishing the job.


I would be happy to have some of you here for a weekend meet/bbq soon. Lots of floor space, also lots of grass (half acre)to camp and you could all take turns waving the whip at the cockys.

He is much bigger than me so there goes more money for another tradie of sorts to do that job where does it end.

I have an old house and nothing is square or goes to plan. They did work on my back deck (new iron, shade cloth etc) as well and that went ok. You are right about the money though. $4000 is enough for now.
Getting someone to finish jobs another tradie started in the country is impossible.

I've just had a new kitchen put in (Bunnings flatpak) and a fortnight later its still not finished. They come and do a bit, they go, i wait, get There are a few things i am not happy about but the builder has a bad temper and as i have given him some cash payments already i am not sure what to do. If i speak up he might not finish it and the bill is creeping up with each visit.

Been through this before a few times with other houses and been ripped off and i told him before he started to not mess me around but here we go again.......

Well said darkhorseman. I eat meat but i hate having to buy it now (ex farmers wife) only coz of the industry that stresses animals being slaughted. Not all farms are cruel.
