First you need: - to know how you want her to treat you and your family - to believe that it's your right to be treated as well as you treat her - to have the strength to confront her if she's not treating you well - to figure out what to do if it doesn't work out the way it should It's great you can love others so much, but you should love yourself no less. Good luck
I may be wrong but it seems to me that you've been too soft. Maybe you treated them better than they deserved, and they knew that and they took full advantage of it, having no respect for you or the family. Maybe you could set some standards that if they aren't up to, they are out and you get another woman...
Some anti-American sentiment comes from the US involvement in that country or its neighbors. For example, Greeks are anti-American b/c of the CIA powered junta of 67-74 which also resulted in a failed coup in Cyprus and the invasion by the Turkish army. Also, they perceive US policy in Middle East as unbalanced, and they think that the NATO operation in Kosovo wasn't benign as advertised.
On the other hand, they are guilty of forgetting good things (Marshall plan?) and conflating the people with the US policy.
You can check the degree of inequality in different countries-one indicator is the Gini coefficient. Not all countries are equally unequal Denmark and Sweden for instance are much less unequal than the US or Mexico.
Mindfful, people are not encouraged to be active in politics. I may get some heat with what i'm gonna say, but look at Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004 elections. Are you confident that by voting, you can effect change?
I guess they are given a pass b/c their crimes are old and accepted as such. In the case of America, their not-so-covert operations and wars are still controversial topics, hence the intensity of the discussion from both sides.
