The FOX news report..is correct for the timing..at the time nothing had been found will he was still in IRAQ, the WMD's where found after team had left country.
Having the fortune to just now sit and read through all the post. I have to say I think everybody here has a point, atleast as far as they think based on thier persective.
I am a Vet. and God forbid..a patriot..but I'm also someone who believes in doing the right thing for the right reasons..(for me)
I guess I'm also the only one who watches CSPAN..lol Last year in congressional hearing..two generals of yes..the US.Military..said that indeed wmd's where found..and to answer a previous post..the reason it was not releast to mass media..was..they didn't think it would go over good in world press...because at the time they where found...the press was beating up on the issue of not findind any..I will admit the numbers found where low..500 bomds in Norther Iraq and another 30 in south central..but hey..they found some.
And let us not forget when we are throwing numbers around..the Saddam order a small village gas with a bio. agent..that killed the entire village of 35,000+...just to make sure it worked..hmm Are the ppl of Iraq better off today then before..well I suppose that will depend on who you ask!!
And lets remember..going to war to protect our rights..is an IDEAL..not and actual threat..not until it's within our borders. So we must ask ourselves..would we wish to have the chances that we have? I personally like going to sleep at night knowing some group of mask attackers isn't going to pull my family into the street and dismember them and set them on fire..just because I worship the way I do.
