Why do boys have such a hard time believing girls can have hot cars?

Not only do I turn my own wrenches, I have a panic attack if anyone else wants to get under his hood. No, I am not a mechanic by a long shot, so I do have to sit there and sweat it when I have to take him to one. Mostly because I know they are going to try to double charge me just because I am a girl. Have even had one of the guys drive him in before, just so I won't have to deal with it.

1969 Chevy Malibu, but that's not the point.

RE: Why is it so hard to find a girl who doesnt want you for your money?

Sorry, but try to severely limit my salt intake. Are these no salt chips?

RE: The Institution Of Marriage....

RFLMAO, if you had known my ex, the fact that I am even willing to ever trust any man every again, yeah, very optimistic!

Why do boys have such a hard time believing girls can have hot cars?

I have gotten so tired of idiots asking if my bf/husband let me drive his car I made a sign for the back window that says "Chick Owned & Operated Since 1988". Truth is, my car is nicer than any of those owned by any of the guys I have dated.
And I would also like to know where they get the nerve to TELL me what I should do with it. I mean why is it so hard to wrap your head around the idea that we ladies like nice rides too? I will never forget the shocked looks I got while waiting at the finish line for them to finally get there.

RE: Why is it so hard to find a girl who doesnt want you for your money?

LOL Nope, we aren't all like you describe, some of us are in the same boat you are. Except they also want me for my cooking LOL

RE: The Institution Of Marriage....

Was married once, under duress, when I was 18. Took 2 weeks to find a way out, and have never gone back. IF I found a guy I wanted to spend my life with, and IF he wanted to get married, he would have to answer the same question I have asked the numerous men that have asked me before...WHY? Just don't see what that piece of paper would do for me. Sure, he would get a lot in a community property state, but I don't think marriage should be about monetary issues in any way. I also don't have any reason to support a gold digger.

RE: Do You Find Yourself Attracted To People Who Have The Qualities You Lack?

I know I do. At only 5'2", I definitely want someone taller LOL

RE: kids first day of school

LOL My kid just keeps checking every day to see WHEN she goes back. District is still hashing out their contract, so they don't even know yet. If they drag this thing on too long, and think my kid is going to have to stay longer than normal to compensate for this, they got another thing coming.

RE: Back to school

I especially feel bad for those that don't even have kids. I think it would be a lot more fair if there were a sliding scale to charge those with kids in attendance ONLY. Not to mention that you should have PROOF of citizenship before you are allowed to enroll your kids in the first place. And yes, I mean the parent. I don't think it is fair that an illegal can give birth here (where they aren't supposed to be in the first place) and the kid is automatically a citizen.

RE: Time to tax the religions

I have always wondered why any cult/religion was exempt from taxes, and think they should all be paying like the rest of us.

RE: Back to school

Boy can I relate to that mess. Last year a teacher actually put a computer program on her supplies list that cost $180 alone! There were also other items that cost $50 and up each. Wasn't having that for a second and went straight to the principal asking if this teacher was nuckin futs or what! (If you only knew how much of my property taxes go to this same school!!!) Principal agreed it was unreasonalbe and teacher had to work around it. NONE of the kids had to get that stuff. LOL You can fight the system.

RE: You know you are living in 2006 when.....

cutelildevil - so are we dinosaurs or caught in a time warp? NOTHING on that list pertains to me either.

RE: Back to school

It's very scary to send your kids off to those places these days. Used to be that moms were glad to have the kids back in school so they got a break, now it just rags your nerves. Had to enroll mine in the beginning of her 6th grade year, and was freaked. Soooooo worried that there would be gaps in her education from something I missed. Turns out that at that age she was already at a grade 12.8 reading level, and the rest was in the same range. Turns out that it is mostly a place for socializing, as she finishes her work in class, and she is using all this time to shame bullies LOL Never raises a hand or her voice, but sure has a quick tongue and seems to know what to say. LOL I just gotta laugh at the way the other kids get behind her for protection when she is just a tiny little peewee thing. Maybe things will turn out ok in your case too.

RE: fake nails

Me, I am about sick to death of all the fakeness. Makes it a pain for those of us who are still 100% real. My father's girlfriend was over a couple of weeks ago, and actually had to touch and closely examine my nails because she couldn't believe they were real due to the length and all I do with my hands. No big except when she slightly bent them backwards to see if they would snap off. That kinda hurt. Same thing with extensions and lashes. All those who use the fake are getting those of us with the real tugged on and checked!

RE: WWE Fans! Unite!

Just gotta laugh at anyone over the age of 6, who doesn't know that everyone else knows, it's choreographed. Always cracks me up when people come around announcing it's "fake" like that is some kind of news to anyone RFLMAO

RE: To Americans....

I don't consider twisting what a person says to something completely off the wall, to be blunt honesty. And I think that still bothering to come to this site despite those like him, is being optimistic about the rest of the people on here.

RE: Any Soldiers Out There That Need A Friend? Or Someone To Talk To???

I've tried to find links for our guys overseas looking for penpals back home. Haven't found any.

RE: Heads Oregon, Tales Ontario.

Hmmm guess I am just glad that I got my wandering done by now, and no, my kids didn't "hold me back". They got to have the adventure as well. I am finally at the point where I feel I want to put down roots. I also count myself lucky that we got it all in before the big clamp downs on "national security". Couldn't imagine trying to pull it off with all the check points etc these days. No way I would have been able to get a lot of what I did through customs and such anymore hehehehe

RE: Has anyone had a rude, boorish response?

LOL Just this morning a lady flowered me with a compliment for one of my forum postings, and I flowered her back thanking her for the compliment.peace

RE: Weight loss

Only time I remember specifically being on a "diet" and wanting to drop pounds quickly was after having my kids. Gave myself a time limit of 3 months to be back into my size 3 levis both times (at ages 19 and 31). Find the list of foods that burns more calories to digest etc than is contained in the food (raw apples, cauliflower, honeydew melon, etc) Change things like whole milk to non fat. And actually WALK AWAY from the stuff you know you shouldn't eat. Willpower, common sense and self control are the real things that make you lose weight.
Now that I am down where I want to be, I just eat what my body craves.

RE: I Need Ideas For What Kind of Tatoo to get?

My only advice on this is to make sure you will be able to live with it. Luckily, when I got mine at the age of 19, I had enough sense to have it discretely placed and only about the size of a quarter. You only see it if I am wearing a bikini or less. VERY glad when I saw those women with the tats on their ankles, shoulder blades etc, while trying to look professional, and just came off as tacky. I have seen the looks on the faces of employers in professional settings when they show up for the interview, and have heard the comments after they left. Once I, as a member of the hiring staff, had to stand up for the best applicant, because they all wanted to deny her the job due to the tat around her ankle, and that it would give potential clients a dim view of the company. I have also known guys who are stuck wearing long sleeves in the summer heat so they won't be embarrassed by a nasty tat they thought was cool on a bender in their early twenties.

RE: Truth about the Gas Shortage?

That only explained why the prices of these things are going to rise as well.

RE: Humor

Very obvious that a lot of people on here haven't heard, "Lose your sense of humor and lose your mind". Obvious a lot have done both LOL

RE: WWE Fans! Unite!

Aw come on, they let Rey Mysterio win a lot and he is a peewee. Their little David and Goliath bit these days.

RE: Ban handguns.

No problem, I am still waiting for an answer from AKDOPhd. Seriously curious.

RE: A thought of V.

I used to work with someone named V. Is this profile still in here? Curious if it is the same person.

RE: Ban handguns.

So are you a vegan? Or do you just prefer to let someone else do your "dirty work"?confused

RE: drama free thread

NEVER do I go a day without chocolate. It is usually about 80% of my diet, and before you all go crazy, I am 5'2" and weigh about 107. When I blow out of a size 3 slim levi, I will dial it back. Until then, Willy Wonka is my hero.

Oh Criminy!

Raynew and Unionjoe, I agree, for once let the people of that country deal with their own.
