I HATE RELIGIONS!

There is no MY god ......there can only be one - even logic agrees.

God is that unfathomable and unquestionable "being" that created all that we know of and that we do not know of.....but since we don't know of what we don't know of....anyways....

I see evidence enough for MYSELF in mathematics and physics alone to make me believe......I am happy to give details to people that listen.....meaning they shut up long enough to listen - you can't learn w/ your mouth open.

True faith requires no book - some can't read
True faith requires no rituals - some can't do them
True faith requires no "gospel" - some never hear it
True faith requires no fear - fear is negative/destructive
True faith requires no leaders - god is able to lead an open heart/mind
True faith requires no intervention or mediator - each is responsible for themselves


....etc....

I'll not debate w/ you any further - you're just not ready.....and I say it w/ respect as I simply state my opinion.

Again.......using fiction as a reference. If there was even ONE SINGLE instance of Jesus(if real) saying ANYTHING then somebody w/ some sense MAY consider it.

And don't give me Josephus....even that is questionable.

Why should one believe the bible when some of its main parts are momentous example of plagiarism.

Mosaic law sure looks a lot like the Codex of Hammurabi and the story of crucifixion and ressurection go back at least as far as the Dogon tribe.

You are insulting and lack good understanding of your faith and scriptures. Your attacking people for their opinions and typing errors is not befitting an adult mind....proving you either do not have one or are rude.

You need to learn humility and respect. If you act like this in the presence of a man with less patience than I you could find yourself injured. You have much to learn about the world and should tread lightly.

I've given you more than enough bits of knowledge for you to do research on, but you cling to immaturity and ignorance - I hope they serve you well until the time you awake from your slumber.

If anyone else adds to the thread it probably will not be pleasant....so get used to it here and in the real world until such time as you mature.

Have you been everywhere - seen everything - know all?
If you answer YES - you are god....
If you answer NO - wouldn't logic say there MAY be a god?

Any facts or faiths that don't stand up to scrutiny are best abandoned.

That is what many religious people are afraid of - to be shown they were ignorant or worse - duped.....intentionally or not.

I haved not taken any of his replies to me as preaching. He seems to have a hold on his faith, but not ready for some debates yet. Debates can range from simple to highly complex and if you jump in deep you may drown. I DO NOT pretend to know all that much and would watch a debate of scholars for my own edification, but NOT join - I'd drown

I'm actually hoping he will take this as a revelation that he (like us all) need to know where we and others in the debate stand.....knowledge wise I mean. What concerns me is that he may go to "leaders" and be told either that we are lost and don't know any better when we speak or that he should just sweep it under the rug and maybe even stay away from us.

Noone should fear KNOWLEDE

Again...you assume we see it as gods word...you can't do that it a real debate.

Just because you believe it does NOT mean you can use it - that is NOT how a debate works.

This is a very simple online deal, but in a serious debate the facts are first agreed upon or not a factor because the participants know better than to try somwthing like that.

If you are hired to paint a house white, but paint it black and tell them you BELIEVE it is white then you can see the problem....that's an exaggerated analogy, but clear.

We are not debating the bible itself (which is fun) nr god (as I personally believe)but the flood being real or not based on the intial topic of the ark.

You used the bible to "prove" a point and I simply wanted to say that this is not the way to go because you can't assume that the others hold it as valid ....and if they did.....Catch 22.
