No, CS is not a waste of time. It can be, if you let it But if you are genuine and take part in the forums and go to the meets, you will meet some nice people. And just ignore the not so nice ones.
Yes, of course, thats true. I didn't mean to imply that all unplanned pregnancies are unwanted children. I know that myself, I've been through it, and my child was certainly not unwanted!

While the cases you have mentioned are extreme and of course, those fathers are wrong, I have to disagree with you that the problem is generally with the men. There are two people involved when a child is created. The fault is with both parties, if they do behave responsibly. Of course , accidents happen, people are human, mistakes are made. But there are women who wrecklessly get pregnant as well as men who get women pregnant and walk away. Nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, men and women. You can't universally blame one gender. If everyone behaved responsibly there would only be wanted children brought up in loving homes with everything they need, but life doesnt work like that, does it? So we have to deal with it as it is and make the best of it. And dont' assume that only one person is in the wrong when two people make a "mistake." Sorry, no child is a mistake
I do understand the point you are making and agree to a certain extent. But many ordinary people are not interested in politics (I know they should be) and are not natural leaders but just want to work at what they are good at and make a reasonable life for themselves. Everybody cant be a born leader and organiser of people. If it is possible for them to move and work elsewhere, that is what they choose to do. However , if things get bad enough and they start to suffer, they will fight back and try to change things when there is no other option.
Sorry, but that is not possible for everyone. What you are a really good plumber, but the construction industry has died in your country through no fault of yours and you there is no longer any work for you? Everyone does not have the power to change a whole country, people have different skills and what is wrong with being able to move around to find work in your field where it is available?
Hangovers can be avoided if you remember to drink some water in between each alcoholic drink. It works for me, but when I'm having a good time I don't remember the water in between. Then a big hearty breakfast next morning with a big mug of tea. And back to bed for more sleep! Glad you had a good time BB
So good to see this, my son is working in Canada and he really likes it there. Good to know that immigrants who are good workers are appreciated. As he said, most people there are originally from somewhere else anyway. The shoe is on the other foot now, we had good years here in Ireland when we had an influx of immigrants and they enriched society here and were appreciated and needed when there was plenty of work, now things have changed again and our young people are immigrating. Makes you realise , people are all the same.
There is not one answer to this, but hundreds. And every case is different. Wherever there is a mom, there is a dad somewhere, whether he is involved or not. So maybe the question should be, why are there so many dads who are not involved in bringing up there kids?
Nothing is black and white, in fact everything is ranging from off white to charcoal grey. JMO
I know, what you're saying makes sense, but really, the last thing I want to do right after christmas is go shopping for more decorations! Christmas is a whole year away, I've got other priorities now with my precious money! I dont' spend much on decorations anyway
They work in completely different ways, The dog is much more simple, which makes him lovable, like a child. The cat is more complex, and should be respected.

THE CAT'S DIARY:
Day 183 of my captivity...
My captors continued to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from clawing the furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another house plant.
Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded. Maybe I should try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favourite chair - must try this on their bed. Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little kitty cat I was. This is not working according to plan.
There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More important, I overheard that my confinement was due to my powers of inducing something called "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.
I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit.
The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He speaks with them regularly, and I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured.
But I can wait. It's only a matter of time..............
