aura bright............

little old lady dressed so fine
out for the day in the shopping line
your smile a testament from your time
your manners impeccable simply sublime

our paths cross not once but twice
to me this is just not suffice
your spirit friendly your sparkling eyes
our conversation a joy and lovely surprise

crisp and clear as you portray
a vivacious young lady from yesterday
a glint of humour a glimmer of hope
your world a vision a beautiful scope

the path you walk this fine winters day
'tis a pleasure and honour for me to say
i wish you well always wherever you are
your soul shining like the brightest star.....

to market to market..........

a bleak day but not so grey
a young violinist earns her pay
a multitude of races in their sway
amongst the market lanes today
paw paws yellow paw paws red
greens abundant from garden bed
bananas long and very thin
flowers in bloom are no sin
avocadoes ripe and very soft
fishy smells entice a lot
herbs flourish and vege's shine
colours of the world all in a line
a cake stall here and books abound
everybody within their stall sound
saturday morn a welcoming sight
all walks of people in the same light .....

To Belong (Waterfall Challenge)

the roar of water
floods my senses
my hearing intoxicated
my vision overwhelmed
majestically pouring
its heart out
over time smoothed rocks
dancing within the eddies

a dress of white
cascading beautifully
elegantly softly
embellishing the surround
to be painted in colours
as bright an inspiring
as the birds in song
to allow this natural beauty
to feel to live
to belong........

Hidden Pride

You've grown tall and filled out some
Earned the stripes worked not won
And now of only twenty three my son
Recognition has become

I wish I could turn back time
Repair a life that wasn't mine
And spend those precious seconds fine
That would be sublime

All I knew was how to work
Roof and food my alert
My priorities had gone beserk
How life can make you a jerk

Distance made our life sour
A relationship bent on respect is dour
I never meant for you to cower
For you were always my finest hour

Days roll by and I never hear
You live a life of no fear
My memories of you are dear
And hold you in my heart near

You carry on as you can
You had a vision part of your plan
It wasn't hard to understand
Time was the greatest demand

The accolades come thick and fast
Respect from peers reward at last
The magic weaved from spell cast
A way to heal the past

But ne'r forget from whence you came
Our blood is thick it is the same
You walk your path to keep you sane
The world your oyster the pearl your gain.......

'Driss............

Skin as black as charcoal
but a character not so dim
life's choices for survival
upon actions at a whim
a hand that provides
does honour this creed
all but a signature
for his next feed
but alas his character shines
showing his worth
the brashness of his vision
gives a job its birth
with'Digs'supplied
no more reasons are required
but a wager to outlast
keeps him inspired
'tis a tough role
to absolutely care
for someone whose head
is all that's spare
but a man no less resides
in a shell that once did strive
and sees a certain joy
in the man who is alive
'tis a partnership in crime
as the saying goes
life's lessons to be learnt
amidst the turmoil and the throes
but a friendship does grow
between the rich and the poor
the carer and the cripple
and life's revolving door.........

the table

slender are the legs
that carried the joyous squeal
of two lovely girls
lost in their appeal
in a world of drawing and play
amongst the glitter and the gloss
laughter filled the air
fun at no cost
a table strong but sleek
prepared by the hand
a father's love ensured
nothing would demand
nor scar or even stain
what pleasure was derived
a table for two
through a fathers eye...........

Our Souls Renewed Once More

A heart that knows
what mine yearns for
to be one with nature
to admire and savour
the essence of peace
the sweetness of bliss
took me out from fields of canes
into a world without chains

A piece of paradise lays hidden
'midst tropical rainforest laden
with pristine glistening pools,
soothing cascades and falls
twisting 'round boulders in full
nature's music played, never ending
melting my fears and cares, no more!

The lush this part of Queensland I adore
a total contrast to her dry yet humid shores
driving through glistening streams
I felt her beauty caressing our souls
her clear waters reflecting our joys
Into the wheel of fire we dipped
our souls renewed once more!

With You In My Life

There's joy everywhere
when your voice I seek
you're always near
the simplest joke with
your most loving look
shows a happy heart
glad I didn't overlook!

There's peace everywhere
When I look for you
you are always there
the simplest words
you have declared
shows just how much
you really care!

There's love everywhere
when I reach for you
you come running through
the lightest touch
the warmest kiss
shows depth and faith
such bliss!

Gorgess.........

Pristine waters crystal clear
upon boulders you have no fear
carving your way through time
leaving your footprints behind
cascading down from higher place
nature controls your very pace
lace is what i see today
a pretty picture
alas no fray
pools of abundance
within the dance
mesmerising your very glance
upon your heart to romance
sound of water running free
a tune for ears ever to be
soothing all that ails the mind
close your eyes to troubles behind
amongst the bush and hills steep
the rainforest and the creek
your energy forever to flow
Finch Hatton gorge a beauty to know........

yonder days........

in your presence
i have settled
there is a calmness
in the air
within the stillness
of the breeze
i feel you everywhere
your soul it touches
deep inside
an plays a beautiful tune
upon the keys in my heart
my love for you to swoon
the music that is made
from your loving soul
is the tune i love to hear
yonder days as we grow old.....

diamonds an pearls

for the love of me...
i have forgiven all that is wrong
i will let go of everything
to heal an make me strong

for the love of me...
i will look ahead with joy
not worry about the past
nor ponder on the ploy

for the love of me...
i will nurture what i see
indivual beauty
has its own identity

for the love of me...
i will respond to the music in my heart
'tis not another challenge
but the precious part

for the love of me...
i will dance with open arms
accept a steady hand
sip on natures charms

for the love of me...
no more hurdles will there be
only diamonds an silk white pearls
an my destiny...

Whitianga Dawn

Dawn whispers into the room
on the sounds of ocean roar
footprints left in wet dunes
leading from the door
Embedded image from another site

hand in hand we walk in sand
with the freshness of the breeze
watching the sun effortlessly
break free of nights seize
Embedded image from another site

tiptoeing across the waves
on its journey to shine bright
exposing a whitianga dawn
in a serene an wondrous light
Embedded image from another site

the water surges in
an chills the very bone
but in your lovely presence
your warmth is all i've known
Embedded image from another site

shells they lay scattered
in piles i've never seen
as if neptune had dumped them
in abundance for his queen
Embedded image from another site

i see the beauty in the morn
an feel the love from you
a harmony i can define
as beautiful and true
Embedded image from another site

blessed i would say
in a unison with you
many dawns await
whispering into view........
