Letter the world 6

You clock out as the countdown begins again for the next day of work,
Yet instead of innovation we prefer to have our icons twerk.
To devalue a dollar and make us materialistic,
With goals so shallow and unrealistic.
Yet we sit and swallow down the propaganda of the world,
Forced to catch the messages that are hurled.
Take a breath and pick up the philosophical tote,
By making you think before going to vote.

About this poem:
Growing up we are taught that the definition to insanity is repeating the same action over and over again with the idea you will receive a different result. Yet every 2 or 4 years we vote for these "people" who lie to us just so they can pad their resume.

Forged

Call upon the hurt and joy to strike at the rock,
To apply the details needed onto the canvas using the chalk.
Written throughout are life lessons which are far from subliminal,
Yet looking for a hidden message is much more criminal.
The truth to the point applies meaning the any life,
Even as you carve out the details with the edges of a knife.
From beneath the dirt and ash is an item where the light can release,
One which some call perfect while others call it a masterpiece

Center of the storm

Man pulls up a chair as the waves of rain begin to crash,
Sending all to the brink of use towards the edge in a flash.
Disguising the chaos with a sign of peace the eye rolls in,
Casting an ounce of holiness upon a vortex of sin.
The man struggles to accept even as the next wave approaches,
Wind swirling all around with no regard for his broaches.
Even as he struggles to survive his faith keeps him new,
Beaten and Battered physically yes but nothing time can't undo

A beauty...

A beauty..
like the one you read about in fairy tales,
A beauty..
One who has a heart that can tip all the scales.
A beauty..
To see the heart that lies within the darkest tragedy,
A beauty..
Who can screen out the worst to bring back the greatest memory.
A beauty..
To look up at the stars or to push you forward,
A beauty..
To give you something to put you're mind toward.
A beauty..
To be my heart
A beauty that can show me how true love can be the missing part

Mixed bag of Emotions

I tried to save the world but how can I when I don't know love,
So I'm pulling back the reins like i'm stuck on a pitcher's glove.
Now I feel like I'm crashing as I try to get to them,
But that must be like selling Florida some autumn.
In the summer,
I can feel the sun burns even when I'm blocked out like a murmur.
I hear no echo coming from these empty walls with my heart,
Now I'm starving for love with not an appetizer to start

Freestyle rhyme

I look around to find a face I can see
somewhere along the crack perfectly in line like a symphony.
Placing my heart into another's hand is always a part of my magic,
Cause sometimes it leaves me sunk like the titanic.
Yet here I am with hat and cane walking through these doors,
Doing my usual daily routines like its my life's chores.
But yet this is odd my head is pulled out of a hat,
By a human like rabbit as the crowd applauds from their mat.

Letter to the world V: The Shut down edition

I swear politicians learned nothing from the attack on our soil,
That when we are knocked down we get up with a violent recoil.
Now they threaten and play childish games with our wages,
Passing bills around like a actor getting a script in stages.
We are millions who just want to enjoy the tranquil,
Not to have to find out what comes with an independence war sequel.
Forget you're party and remember we are one nation,
So either get on the freedom train or stay still on the station.

Letter to the world IV

Well here we go once again we have major breaking news,
Yet we prefer to hear about the Miley Cyrus boos.
Going to strike another country when ourselves can't see,
Cause its set to the side of the start of football sounds weird to me.
Or is it.. I mean especially when you have priests turning fraud,
I mean did they not read the bible that we all have faces of God.
But hey we'll just sit and see if aaron hernandez gives a guilty plea,
Oh wait Obama took hold of the media with an emotionless decree

zombies

My sweat and tears drop onto the page,
Even as the lights flicker on me in center stage.
I hear their curdling moans all around,
They slowly approach from all sides based on the volume of sound.
So much what I wanted to do that I am now can't do,
Watching as they breakthrough the light's realm that I best knew.
Their fleshy arms extend into my personal space,
Then the lights darken and then return to find me gone without a trace.

Downpouring Belief

Wherever there is lightning you'll always find the thunder,
The prerequisite required to succeed is the ability to wonder.
A heart can see things with a beat and a step,
Only to find life so short but also part of the beginning prep.
The rain can fall in waves against a floor that gives no reply,
No matter how hard it puddles it washes off into holes like a cry.
Even as the rain slows and the clouds clear,
No change to the balance cannot be undone without a wish to steer.

Who are You??

Whether its good or bad anything can make or break you,
Except the answer is more about what special can you do.
We are individuals united by blood with differing minds,
All following a road with broken lines and rusty signs.
Every day is a new moment to live out your dream,
No matter how dark the times get or smooth as silky cream.
Trust where you came from both the light and the dark,
Cause at the end only your gut can tell you where to park

Racing with Time

To say something can take a million years to redo,
Cause a man can say many things but it takes 1 thing to make it true.
I saw your picture and my reaction was to floor it
Cause for now I can just get in the booth to do the Superman bit
Living this part just seems to be so much a repeat of steps
That even my heart is getting sore from all these reps
So here I stand with nothing but outer space
Wondering how one truly envisions a victory in this race
