Jerseygirl

Jerseygirl, Jerseygirl, You seem to rock my world!
So may I write these few lines, and perhaps be a little bold?
For every line in your sweet poem, seems to say it right,
My heartbeat begins to flicker with absolute delight,
Love you in the morning, or any time at all,
Standing up, sitting down or up against the wall,
Your smiling picture stares out to me,
For all the world to see.
I hope you write more splendid rhymes soon,
So the rest of us can swoon,
I bid you a short and fun farewell,
I hope you're doing well.
Goodbye, Au revoir, Slán and Ciao,
It's time for me to go now.

The Kiss

Entire books cannot contain the significance of a kiss,
Tasting each other's inner most bliss,
The scent of pheromones invades the air,
As the tongue swirls without a care,
Heart beats faster with every second,
Mind praying for this moment to never end,
Twisting of necks to supply the angle,
Increasing the ever expanding triangle,
Of love, passion and naked expression,
Brings our heart to another dimension,
Gasping for air as you breach the surface,
Sweet divine contact makes me nervous,
Not wanting to dissolve this lingering moment,
And all of a sudden it's time is spent
So to those who are lucky to have it,
Please spare us a thought and try not to skit,
As often on CS it's hit and miss,
But I'll hope for my very passionate kiss!

Stargazer

A child, I look up into the dark, black sky
and I see stars, great big balls of flame
and wonder why, Why can't I traverse that sky?
Why not I?

Now I no longer peer into the great unknown,
too much confort here within my zone,
I fumble and plod across the earth, kicking dust
and still wondering, if I dare to look above,
what will become of my dreams, will they splinter and shatter upon,
the very reality that has become, my life, my circumstance,
my being, my fibre, my soul...

I shall no longer be afraid to stare upon the nightly dazzling glare,
of those exquisite samples of creation, burning bright without ambition,
yet energised explosions thrown into the cosmos, caution to the solar winds is thrown,
and here I stand upon this earth staring back up into the unknown.

Venus

Amongst the stars where heaven waits,
I see her face smiling bright.
She whispers cosmic dust that creates life and love,
I inhale her scent upon the spring air.
It stirs my emotions so; my heart thumps deep in my chest,
Her angelic glow illuminates the night.
It is here I wait, alone in her presence.
For I am shy, naive and spent,
Nothing to offer except my soul.
I'll sit here staring into the stars,
Where heaven waits and her face smiling bright.
And I shall pray for her tonight!

Time

Silent whispers upon my tongue
Never uttered by the young
For when they whisper, they whiper true,
Of times gone by and summer dew,
The gentle summer breeze is spent,
Dwindling Dandelion seed head,
Upon the mind it grows much colder,
Seeing as we are growing older,
That times like these are to enjoy,
Natures wisdom to deploy,
For we are not so infinite,
Yet our souls go on into the night,
We pray that we'll not be forgot,
And thank God for all we've got!

Just for fun

I forever roam and whisper,
deep in thought and oft times jester,
at all the things I see today;
Before me endless possibilities lay,
I never wanted anything else,
But to be happy and sure inside myself
and although I am not completely done,
I consider my race not yet won.
SO if you see me beyond this stage,
Know that I'm breaking beyond my cage,
of safety nets and without a harness,
in search of someone's loving caress,
But much more than that in this warm weather,
Before I reach the end of my tether,
Don't be shy and send me a mail,
and who knows if we succeed or fail,
But to test the waters, you and I,
you have to stop wondering why,
just drop me a mail and give me a try.

About this poem:
Just trying to get a rhyming scheme going here with an emphasis on the 'beat' and of course to make it fun. While no one can accuse me of being Shakespearian, I do try.
