One of the most exciting meetings occurred in Canada for me. I flew into Toronto and was greeted at the airport by Wikked, dreamer and paws....then later met shygirl, tumpa, composerssoul, sumguy and there were many others I would have met time willing.
Urs is a wonderful hostess, not only is she beautiful outside, she has the gift of intelligence and I can not imagine any man ( or person ) not wanting to meet her.
I was planning to return to Canada in November before the holidays......so, this Cat will keep her eyes open on this thread.

I've been to a few GT's in other sites and its a great, non threatening way to meet people. You get to put faces to names, find out if a person's personality matches their online one and generally laugh your patootie off.
I encourage anyone who can make it to attend this one. I don't think alot of people out there know about CS. Having public Get togethers usually generates alot of interest out there.

i know exactly what you are saying gib but this is the only date available for some before the snow really flies. it is a very special day for all of us in this country and all countries of the world. this could also be viewed as another chance for everyone to celibrate the freedoms that those wonderful people made the ultimate sacrifices for us to remain free.
I'm not judging anyone, or reading anything into the date chosen but here's how November 11 works for me ...
There are several functions I have always attended every November 11th. Since the birth of my children there are more. There is no way I could do all that needs done then have the time or energy left to attend any sort of get together. I have 364 other days to enjoy what I have been given.
My apologies if I seemed judgemental, was just trying to offer an explanation as to why 4 people had signed up at that point.
I honestly hope it goes off well for the attendees.

That I just so happen to live in Whitby is a wonderfully convenient coincidence. As far as helping....I'll just have to check my schedule. If I'm not working, or working day shift, I'd be more than happy to.

dinner at shoeless joes or boston pizza (whichever has room for us as they don't do reservations for saturday nights)
then across the atrium is the dance club called jonny b's club....they have said they are trying to get a classic rock band for that night
the address for both is 75 consumers drive in whitby ont....
there are several hotels/motels in the area....quality suites ....comfort inn (which is oshawa whitby border) .....there is also several others......i will try to get adresses and phone numbers for them .....i myself am going to either be getting in at quality suites or the courtyard by marriot..
hope to see you all there.....the more the merrier
