a million dollar question. .
people talk about love. to love ... to be loved... being in love... falling in, falling out... wow.the big question is 'what is love ?'
obviously there are many kinds of love - parental, filial, selfish. anyhow, personally i think 'love is never having to say you're sorry'. that i think encompasses everything. yet to err is so human. i know, to forgive is divine, but to apologise is humble, honorable and if genuine, gives a cleansing feeling. full circle.
but i think the million dollar question is:
which would you rather: to love and to lose, or never having loved at all ?
many times i think the former. many other times i feel it is best the latter.
your views are most welcome.
peace.

sometimes could be selfish love coz we are not perfect...
"love is never having to say sorry" in the sense that when you truly love somebody, you do nothing that warrents an apology.
just teasing ya!
Lots of sayings about love. One everyone may agree with though: "love hurts". you know...like the song by Nazareth:
Anyway, Virgosign, your question, which is better, to love and to lose, or to never love? I would say it's better to love and to lose, because to never love would be a very cold existence, and if I were to never love, I could also never receive it.
However that Howie guy sure was the brightest mind ever on this site I think.
