For us here on CS it means different things... May I share what it means to me? For me Easter is the most beautiful of times as I celebrate with Christians throughout the world the death and glorious resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ. I rejoice at this most beautiful time of year as I contemplate the wonderful gift of life and the gift from God the Father of His Son.
To me the most powerful and thought provoking words in history are the words.....
'He is not here, for He is risen'
And the most poignant picture is the empty tomb.
I love him and am ever grateful for his love, mercy and grace he shows to us all....daily and for a loving Father who sent him for us.
I have a poem in poets corner expressing my deep love and feelings for 'what Easter means to me' if you wish to read it.
However you choose to celebrate this time of year may your heart be full of love and peace. Full of gratitude for the joy of life and the beauty of it and the beauty of this world we live in.
And may each of you have a
blessed,
wonderful day!
Easter hugs to all.

INDIANAPOLIS — At least eight people were shot and killed at a FedEx facility near Indianapolis International Airport late Thursday, authorities said.
This follows two other recent shootings, the lax regulations are allowing mentally unstable people access to weapons that really only the military should have access to.

The First Day of Bengali New Year , I am writing this...
I am scared...
Can not forget the experience of last year... Lockdown is never an easy thing to cope up with for common people like me...
BUT
Yesterday it was over 2 million infection all over the country in just 1 day... And here in my area , election rally going on with thousands of gathering...
Death rate not increased though comparing to the infection... Not Yet...
Vaccination is for selected people only... A large number of people won't get the vaccine just because of the age limit...
And even if vaccinated , still there is no guaranty that these vaccines will be enough against the constantly mutating new strains ...
And the worst part is , we are most probably going to face another LOCKDOWN soon...
* Update : Today 20th April , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,
The age restriction for vaccination has been reduced .. Now anybody who is 18 years old or above , can get the vaccine..
But the problem still remains same..
Enogh Vaccine is not available for a large group of population..
And the vaccination ratio comparing to the infection rate is very much lower...
It's almost 3 million infection per day now...
* Update : Today 23rd April , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,
It has began... The crisis of Oxygen supply among hospitals due to increasing number of Corona infected patients ...
DELHI , the capital of the Country , is running out of breath... And it's rapidly spreading all over the country...
* Update : Today 29th April , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,
Infection rate almost 4 million per day now.. And if it continues to going on like this , it will likely to cross 1 billion infection within just next 1 month..
* Update : Today 30th April , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,
Another Lockdown due to the second wave of Corona , been imposed here in my sate for uncertain period .. It will start from tomorrow.. Except specific basic and emergency services , everything else will be under Lockdown..
* Update : Today 5th May , 2021 , West Bengal ,
The 1 and half month long election process during Corona second wave , has finally came to an end.. Result came out.. A new govt. will take their oath today ..
Meanwhile the Corona crisis is continuing it's rampage all over the country as well as in my state..
And another reason of headache became the increasing ongoing political violence post election...
Workers of winning party and defeated party is now killing each other .. Like they don't want to wait for even Corona to kill them..
* Update : Today 7th May , 2021 , Kolkata , WestBengal ,
Since yesterday , the local train services been suspended all over the State WestBengal , till further notification... But all the offices remain open... Wondering about the govt. policy ... What the govt. think !!! How the workers and employees will go to work if train service not available.. Not all of them can afford expensive personal rides... It's also not efficient due to time consuming comparing to tain journey !! What are they thinking !!! Really !!!!!
* Update : Today 16th May , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,
Another complete Lockdown started from 6am today to 30th May 6pm ... Though some exception for basic supplies and emergency services will be allowed for a certain period ...
So here we are , restrained at own home , again ...
* Update : Today 22nd May , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,
It's been on news , confirmed ... About 'Black Fungus'...

Takeaways from the first day of the Derek Chauvin trial.
One of the most closely watched court cases in decades got underway on Monday as the murder trial began for Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer, who is being charged with murder in the death of George Floyd.
A long day in court began with the prosecution’s opening remarks, focusing the jury’s attention on the bystander video of Mr. Floyd’s death — all nine minutes and 29 seconds of it — and ended with the testimony of a mixed martial arts fighter who was on the scene and said he believed Mr. Chauvin was killing Mr. Floyd. In between, the defense laid out its theory of the case, vowing to prove over the course of the trial that Mr. Floyd died of a drug overdose and heart condition.
Here’s what happened.
The trial began with opening statements from both sides, laying the groundwork for both teams as they make their case to the jury pool. Prosecuting attorney Jerry W. Blackwell aimed to focus the jurors’ attention on the famous video of Mr. Floyd’s arrest, which sparked a wave of protests across the country this summer. The video, taken by a bystander, showed Mr. Chauvin kneeling on Mr. Floyd’s neck, where he remained for about 9 minutes and 30 seconds. “You can believe your eyes, that it’s homicide — it’s murder,” Mr. Blackwell said, adding that the trial was “about Derek Chauvin,” not the police in general.
Defense attorneys for Mr. Chauvin laid out their strategy as well — one that will ask jurors to consider heaps of evidence outside of the video itself. Eric Nelson, the lawyer for Mr. Chauvin, said there are more than 50,000 items in evidence and told jurors that the case “is clearly more than about 9 minutes and 29 seconds.”
The state also made clear another point: that Mr. Floyd’s exact cause of death will prove to be one of the most crucial points of this trial. In its opening statement, the prosecution (not the defense, as previously reported) said it would call seven medical experts, in addition to the Hennepin County medical examiner, Dr. Andrew Baker, who performed the only autopsy on Mr. Floyd and classified it as a homicide.
Witnesses, including a cashier at a gas station across the street who filmed the encounter and a 911 dispatcher, also described their actions during the time that Mr. Floyd was arrested. “My instincts were telling me that something’s wrong,” said Jena Scurry, the 911 dispatcher, who alerted a supervising sergeant about what was happening. But she was circumspect about what exactly she thought was wrong; she said she thought officers may have needed reinforcements.
Outside the courthouse, the amount of public interest in the trial was laid bare, as protesters gathered and a helicopter whirled overhead. Temporary concrete and metal barricades encircled some of the government buildings downtown, while national guard members and state police officers stood by. Ben Crump, a lawyer for Mr. Floyd’s family, told supporters on Monday that “the whole world is watching.”

Young man gives up first-class seat to an elderly lady after hearing her story
When 88-year-old retired nurse Violet boarded a plane following a visit to see her daughter, she was completely unaware that she was about to get one of the most magical experiences of her life.
She had hit it off with young man Jack and the two had chatted before boarding the plane, during which Violet had revealed it was her dream to travel at the front of the plane.
Unbeknown to her Jack and his family were traveling in first class and what he did when he boarded the plane has attracted the praise of people around the world.
When Violet got on the plane she was informed by the flight attendant that she was to swap seats with a passenger in first class allowing Violet to travel home in style and fulfill her dream.
“Of the hundreds of flights I’ve operated, I’ve had the pleasure of looking after footballers, supermodels, and some Hollywood movie stars but let me tell you about my two favorite passengers EVER!
“Jack and Violet. Jack and his family purchased seats In our upper-class cabin for a flight home, but when he got onboard, Jack went and found violet in the economy and swapped seats with her.
‘The kindness of his own heart
“He then sat on the row of seats directly next to the economy toilets and never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight. No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart, no one asked him to .
“Violet is 88 years old and has been a nurse. She travels to New York to see her daughter but hasn’t been able to for a while because of a knee replacement. Her dream has always been to sit at the front, and Jack made that come true.
“You should of seen her face when I tucked her in her bed after supper. She said her daughter won’t believe her and wanted a ‘selfie’ to prove it.”
The only part of the lawsuit still intact is the part about "cured" votes.
Basicly, if a person forgot to sign the ballot or something similar,
the voter was contacted and allowed to sign the ballot prior to the deadline
to cure the mistake.
So, Trump is suing the counties that did that.
However, the small amount of ballots that were cured is far less than the approximately 70,000
votes that Biden won by. So, it's really a moot point anyway.
The rest of the lawsuit was dropped prior to going to court tomorrow.
Clearly, it was a move just for show to trick and rile up his base and to motivate them to send in
donations.
The election is a done deal. Time to face reality.

Trump campaign retreats from key claim in Pennsylvania suit
MARC LEVY

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — President Donald Trump’s campaign is withdrawing a central part of its lawsuit seeking to stop the certification of the election results in Pennsylvania, where Democrat Joe Biden beat Trump to capture the state and help win the White House.
Ahead of a Tuesday hearing in the case, Trump’s campaign dropped the allegation that hundreds of thousands of mail-in and absentee ballots — 682,479, to be precise — were illegally processed without its representatives watching.
The campaign's slimmed-down lawsuit, filed in federal court on Sunday, maintains the aim of blocking Pennsylvania from certifying a victory for Biden in the state, and it maintains its claim that Democratic voters were treated more favorably than Republican voters.
The Associated Press on Nov. 7 called the presidential contest for Biden after determining that the remaining ballots left to be counted in Pennsylvania would not allow Trump to catch up. Trump has refused to concede.
The remaining claim in the lawsuit centers on disqualifying ballots cast by voters who were given an opportunity to fix mail-in ballots that were going to be disqualified for a technicality.
The lawsuit charges that “Democratic-heavy counties” violated the law by identifying mail-in ballots before Election Day that had defects — such as lacking an inner “secrecy envelope” or lacking a voter’s signature on the outside envelope — so that the voter could fix it and ensure that the vote would count, called “curing.”
Republican-heavy counties “followed the law and did not provide a notice and cure process, disenfranchising many,” the lawsuit said.
Cliff Levine, a lawyer representing the Democratic National Committee, which is seeking to intervene, said it's unclear how many voters were given the chance to fix their ballot.
But, he said, it is minimal and certainly fewer than the margin — almost 70,000 — that separates Biden and Trump.
“The numbers aren't even close to the margin between the two candidates, not even close,” Levine said.
In any case, there is no provision in state law preventing counties from helping voters to fix a ballot that contains a technical deficiency. Levine said the lawsuit does not contain any allegation that somebody voted illegally.

Nepal Home Ministry raises death toll in latest quake to 42
The Associated Press BINAJ GURUBACHARYA and KATY DAIGLE May 12th 2015 10:35AM
KATHMANDU, Nepal -- A major earthquake hit a remote mountain region of Nepal on Tuesday, killing at least 37 people while triggering landslides and toppling buildings less than three weeks after the Himalayan nation was ravaged by its worst quake in decades.The magnitude-7.3 quake - centered midway between the capital of Kathmandu and Mount Everest - hit hardest in districts northeast of the capital. It terrified a nation already shell-shocked and struggling after a more powerful quake on April 25 killed more than 8,150 and flattened entire villages, leaving hundreds of thousands homeless.
Information was slow to reach Kathmandu after Tuesday's quake, but officials expected the death toll to rise as reports arrived of people being buried under rubble, according to the U.N.'s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
Nepal's Home Ministry reported at least 42 deaths but later lowered the toll to 37. Meanwhile, it said at least 1,139 people had been injured in Nepal. In neighboring India, at least 16 people were confirmed dead after rooftops or walls collapsed onto them, according to India's Home Ministry. Chinese media reported one death in Tibet.
