how not to get sick

if you stick to this thought, you will never get sick.

Mind it......

...

Intelligence is a good thing to have, but IMO,
relying on your instincts and experience will work far better for you in most situations in
...
life.
Of course, being intelligent on any level, wouldn't hurt, either.
...
Train your mind to calm in every storm. Calmness will show your confidence , resilience & experience with dealing in the worst of times ,
Stop getting offended by words .The worse thing you can do is lose control of your own thoughts .

People tend to pay attention to what they already believe. Then they filter out information that doesn’t fit with their opinions & dismiss it .
Tell them what they want to hear
Most of our problems are just minor obstacles that we’ve mentally overblown .
Focus only on the solutions & the issues will vanish.

A small change that can make a major impact on your life : Stop verbalizing negativity ,
Knowing but acting like you do not is self-care .
Acting dumb to avoid argument is wisdom,
In today’s world, everyone’s trying to get a hold of your focus.
Value your focus like you should & do what you need to protect it .
Attention is the new currency so be careful who you give yours to ,
Have faith over fear ! Fear can only control you if you let it in . Have faith & let the good things be your guide.

Let them rage . Win in silence . This has stood the test of time

Just Chill.!!

Good-Luck or Bad-Luck

In a village, a poor old farmer had a lame son. Everyone in the village called that boy unlucky.
One day, king's army came to the village, and took all the strong young boys to be soldiers for the emperor. Only the old farmer's lame son was spared, because he could not fight with a broken leg. Everyone said, “What a good luck!” The old farmer replied, “Good luck?, bad luck?, who knows?”
So, don't pride on your good-luck and don't grieve over your bad-luck.

Greed has no boundaries.

your deed can feed your need but can't your greed.

It is very important to determine the boundary of your needs. Otherwise, you will not even know when your need will turn into greed. And greed will take away your peace and happiness and turn you in the wrong direction.

Random ....... Facts..

.. Women judge so quickly, and their judgement rarely goes wrong.

If you have crush on someone, your brain will find difficulty to tell a lie to that person.

Studies have revealed that a man and woman can never be just friends.

The closer you are in a relationship, the more you can read the other’s mind.

A study has found that friends-with-benefits relationships are just as sexually satisfying as marital relationships.

Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, but you don't.

85% of people have experienced a dream so real that they were not sure if it happened in real life or not.

Subconsciously, it takes at least 6-8 months for the brain to process complete forgiveness for someone who hurt you emotionally.

Smiling is the ultimate antidepressant.

Zebras can't sleep alone.

It is believed that when you die in a dream, you wake up because your brain cannot process the idea of death and what comes after.

Psychologically, we tend to ignore those who adore us and pay more attention to those who ignore us.

Swans only have one partner for their whole life. Once their partner dies, they pass away from a broken heart.

You can do 100 good things but people will remember one mistake.

Psychopaths say “um” more frequently in order to appear like a normal person.

self purification

Your atonement can not wash away your sins but can stop you from committing new sins.
The law of nature is very strict. If the action is done by you, then sooner or later the reaction is bound to happen.
Nature doesn't know how to forgive, it just returns the deed done by you, back to you with interest.
Nature keeps track of your good and bad deeds and returns it to you sooner or later.
Human can forget and forgive but Nature neither forgets nor forgives.

The Age

Many things get changed with age.
We used to be stubborn when we were young, now we make compromises in old age.
The thing which seemed very important in young-age, today the same thing seems useless.
The thing which seemed useless in young-age, today the same thing seems very important.

With age our needs get changed, our deeds get changed, our feelings get changed, our behavior get changed, our thoughts get changed, and sometimes we completely get changed.

Buying MORE of things I already own...

I used to have 3 computer systems. One in my office, one in my home office and one personal. Each of them had dual monitors. This dates back more than 10 years ago when I started upgrading to 27" screens with 1920 x 1200 resolution.

The proportion of these monitors represented a sheet of 11 x 17 inch paper that I used for engineering drawings, so what I saw on the screen printed with the same proportion.
I bought I-INC brand from Tiger Direct and recall buying at least 6 of them. After 2 years, a few started 'blanking out' and my research showed some of the capacitors in the power supply failed. eBay sold repair kits to change all the capacitors, so I took them to a local repair shop and had them fixed. The shop closed and I found another shop who also fixed one and life was good. One more monitor stopped working and due to COVID, the repair shop since closed.
Industry changes and a different perspective to match wide-screen TV's with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 became popular, so I bought 2 quad density monitors, but my favorites are the older ones.

Now that I'm working from home, I'm running 3 workstations... 5 actually, but don't tell anyone. A friend came over and thought I was working for NASA!
Along the way (3 years ago) I bought a 32" monitor for business graphics and did some computer upgrades earlier this year that included 2 computers and another 32" monitor.
Last weekend I installed the new monitor... my eyes aren't getting better as they say, but I'm using it in quad-density mode so everything is smaller. Yeah, kinda defeats the purpose of a larger screen. I'll get to that at another time. The video is flawless!

This week I ordered some external hard drive connectors so I can do backups and clone my systems. I know I bought these things in the past, but since my move, they are stacked in bins in my patio and I'm not wanting to go through them... But, I needed a power strip and unable to find any in the condo, so I opened a bin only to find one of the external connectors just like the one I order to arrive today. Groan...

I really don't have firm plans on retirement and I didn't take on any big projects last month so this month, I'll be slacking and available to actually do some home projects (upgrade the closet shelving, change out the shower rod & curtain, move the toaster to the kitchen) like a real kitchen renovation that's been on my list for 3 years now. Mmmm... maybe next month.

One of my projects is to set up a digital music station. I've got the software, computers, monitor, MIDI sound processor, piano MIDI keyboard, guitars, basses, MIDI woodwind controller, I can be a one man band and do some recording. Since it's all acoustic and digital, I can keep the volume low... unlike when I played Irish (Uilleann) bagpipes and my roommate said she could hear me practice all the way to the sidewalk!

5 guitars and 4 basses... Not planning to add to the heard.
But I've been thinking about that bass amplifier that produces 500 hundred watts!
It will be perfect if I get invited to a jam session.

Where did I put that power strip. I know I saw it around here... somewhere.

Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

Lying in my bed (with Sweetie napping by my side, as usual) I caught a memory whilst reading online, of one of my childhood dreams. This dream, in particular, was as a result of a popular show from the 70's-80's called "BJ and the bear". I remember it being fun, action-backed, and age-appropriate (of course), and my inspiration (which was probably fuelled by the 'tomboy' in me) was to drive an 18-wheeler like the one driven by the star of the movie!

During different periods in my life, and usually whenever I see these trucks, I'm awed by their presence - powerful, majestic, over-shadowing, amazing pieces of engineering. Yes, I still want to drive one!

Now that I'm retired, with the time to do something like that, I'm going to investigate how I could make this childhood dream come true. banana cheering

Day one - Enquire about driver-training and testing/licensing

Stay tuned for updates...thumbs up
