Body part(s) on us that we don't like, and wish we could change

I think we can all relate to this, and wished that we could change something we don't like on our bodies.

When I hit around 13 years old, I had these little boobs that had developed, but then I had started putting on a little weight in junior high. When I was in high school I was pretty thin. I had muscle more than fat, so I was pretty solid, but it didn't look like it because I was very small built. I had always wore a black jacket in high school because I still had these "perky boobs". Yeah, it embarrassed me, so I tried to hide them. I pretty much called my light weight black jacket (members only jacket) my trademark.

When I started work as a cashier at a grocery store chain (Festival Foods) in 1993, we had to wear these green shirt with with words "Festival Foods" in yellow coloring across the front. One of my fellow workers who was just a little younger that me said that my boobs were bigger than hers. Talk about being a little embarrassed by that remark. rolling on the floor laughing

I still have those "perky little boobs today. But ya know, it doesn't really bother me as much as it did when I was younger.

If you would like to share yours, feel free to. wave

I'm looking for some change...

More than 2 years ago I moved into a condo and I'm looking to make some aesthetic changes in the courtyard appearance. Again. When I first moved in, the 'garden' near the mailboxes had a flat area 6 feet by 10 feet filled with mulch. There were some shrubs along the back wall, but nothing along the walkway.

Asking first, the president of the association gave me to okay to plant some things as long as I maintained it. No problem. I selected some small shrubs that I've seen line the walkways to a few gated communities. It's year round, slow growing and survives direct sunlight to shaded areas. Placed about 18" apart, I allowed for a few years of growth before the will need to be thinned.

All my gardening tools remained with the house I sold a few years ago. All I had was a floor scraper and trowel. I'll make-do with that. After clearing back the mulch, I dug some holes about 6" by 6" and loosely placed the potted plants to confirm they were in the right spot. It was done on a Saturday morning and the project took a few hours. Lots of people came by checking mail and to make comments... I guess they never experienced someone taking an interest in their 'front yard' so most of the comments were in praise for adding some charm to the walkway. Two woman complained. One must have been denied her suggestion at an association meeting as she didn't believe I had approval from the condo president. The other bitched about the purple flowers I used to fill-in the perimeter. Something like they would outgrown the entire garden.

More than a year ago, one of the palm trees died and it appeared that nothing was going to be done. To my surprise the landscaping company removed it and filled the area with sod. The color of the new grass was 10 shades darker than the original lawn. I bought a bag of fertilizer and threw handfuls around the garden. It's been 2 weeks and with all the rain this month, the old lawn has started to darken and look more like the new stuff.

My other plan will require approval of the association as the end of the paved walkway that joins the asphalt parking lot has some bare areas and the rain washes the soil into the parking lot. I'll run some plastic retainer the keep the grass edge from running out.

10 minutes a week pulling weeds and the change is already noticeable. My neighbor saw me making adjustments this morning and ask why... it's my front yard and I want it to look nice, that's why.

Return

The perfect place: so much space and light and air at once, felt like I came out from a prison. A perfect day: no wind within the fiord; no waves, safe for those from the motorboats. The perfect me: I never stopped to believe that I’d return and I returned. To turn it right: my belief returned me.

After some time of adjustment, found the grip and the pace. And then the peace. And then the satisfaction. And then came joy. A total wholesome delight of being. At last!

Cloudy and warm enough to start the trip with short sleeves, took though on a wind-breaker with long sleeves upon coming closer to the open sea. There was a moderate North making waves, offering a resistance, waking up my abs and obliques. A pleasant discovery that I still had some after seven weeks.

Back in the protected waters, took a break for a few nuts and an apple. With a mouthful of juicy pulp, heard a proper splash as if someone dove in from a considerable height. Sure enough, an otter appeared a few metres from me and started to swim above the surface in a large circle. Chewing and softening, I observed the performance. On its second circle, a thought crossed my mind: could it be that the animal had a nest near the place I’s leisurely drifting by and the brave parent tried to lead me away from it? Increased the chewing frequencies, took the paddle and left the premises.

At the end of the trip – the marina’s already warned that I’m arriving in fifteen – I broke and turned, just to take in the whole view for the last time… and saw a rather large fish, ca 30 cm, jumping out of water once and again. Thought: “Someone has an excess of energy”, as I myself was totally exhausted. And then the fish jumped out a few times more: plump-plump-plump… And after came a seal and ended the story.

Hmmm... let me think about this.

The profile reads late 30's, dark blonde hair, blue eyes and she hates lies.
The photo is of a woman with white/grey hair and the black dye was done several months ago, brown eyes and appears to be in her mid 40's

Hmmm... let me think about this.

To dye or not to dye...

I have a friend, who is a very nice gentleman... He is in his sixties... And he dyes his hair... A few days ago, he said he had to dye it again, because gray hairs were showing... And, I couldn't help but wonder what ladies and gentlemen thought about this particular subject...

I personally think gray hair looks ABSOLUTELY SEXY... Mmmmmmmm... Mmmmmmm... Mmmmmmmmm... devil devil devil But that's just ME... I have told him to embrace his natural handsomeness, but I don't think he will go "natural" any time soon...

Anyway, I would love to know what guys think of males that dye their hair to cover gray... And even more, I would love to read what ladies think, because in my opinion, guys that dye their hair to be more attractive for ladies, might be sabotaging their looks, but again, that's just ME... dunno

In my personal opinion, males that dye their hair might be presenting themselves as very insecure people, and to me, confidence is TOTALLY HOT... But, I will say it again... That's just ME... laugh

Finally, I think the key is to get a nice, modern, haircut... That would totally take years off, if that's what males that dye their hair are trying to achieve...

P.S. I don't dye my hair... And I don't plan to do so... I practice what I preach... wink bouquet

''How should one incorporate anti-aging serums into their daily skincare routine for maximum effect

Start by cleansing your face with a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser. This will remove dirt, makeup, and impurities. Use a toner to balance your skin's pH level and minimize pores. This will help your skin better absorb the serum. Apply your chosen anti-aging serum after cleansing, take a few drops of serum onto your fingertips, and gently pat it onto your face. Allow the serum to absorb for a minute or two before moving on to the next step. Apply a moisturizer to lock in hydration and create a protective barrier, make sure it is suitable for your skin type, whether it's oily, dry, or combination. Use the serum daily to see the best results. Consistent use will help your skin maintain its youthful glow and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to your skincare routine, staying well-hydrated and maintaining a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and nutrients can also contribute to healthy, youthful-looking skin.

Uneven porosity in hair.

What can I do to even out the porosity of my hair to ensure even color/texture? I sustained damage from highlights years ago. I now have an ultra-fine “veil” of hair atop healthy hair underneath. Bond reconstructors seem to be temporary.

Where And How Resource

Uneven porosity in hair can make it challenging to achieve consistent color and texture If you've experienced damage from highlights. Regular deep conditioning treatments can help improve the overall health and moisture balance of your hair.

Protein treatments, such as those containing keratin or other strengthening ingredients.

Limit heat styling: Excessive heat styling can lead to further damage and uneven porosity. Minimize the use of heat styling tools like straighteners, curling irons, and blow dryers, or use them at low heat settings.: Avoid using harsh chemical treatments such as perming, relaxing, or excessive hair dyeing, Regular trims can help remove damaged ends and promote healthier growth. Use a sulfate-free, gentle shampoo to avoid stripping natural oils from your hair. This helps maintain moisture and prevents further damage. Treat your hair gently to minimize further damage. Use a wide-toothed comb or a brush with soft bristles to detangle your hair, starting from the ends and working your way up gradually.
