I Thought it was over

I thought it was over,
I thought I had enough of it.
It was painful letting her go,
But I had to do it for my own good.

I got myself busy, just to forget her.
After a few weeks, I did,
I was back to normal
But was lonely and out of Love

My life had become static.
Everyday was just the same.
Everyday was so lonely
Everyday was so blue.

One day I found you,
And made my life colorful
Sadness had changed to happiness,
And it's all because of you.

Your smile motivates me,
And your sweetness inspires me.
You had given me strength to move on,
And I was thankful I found you.

I never thought I'd be like this again.
Being with you makes my life complete.
And now it's time to say my feeling for you,
That I really LOVE YOU.

The Daughter he never knew,,,,,

The daughter he lost
Years ago
He'll see today
But he don't know

Will she reject him
Turn him away
Or just look at him
With nothing to say

They see each other
Their eyes meet
A friendly hello
Is how they greet

They come together
With a gentle hug
She pulls his heart strings
With a gentle tug

Twenty seven years
Since her birth
Twenty seven years
He's felt the hurt

Finally united
For the first time
It will take a while
Before things are fine

Both are willing to try
To gap the years apart
Both of them realize
The heart, is the place to start

Little by little they tell
What's happened through the years
Silently both of them
Have shed their own tears

So as they try to build
A father and daughter bond
They know the lost years
Are forever gone

But they also know
That the years in front of them
Can help to bridge the past
Of the years they lost back then

They know it won't be easy
But they both want to try
With a vow to each other
To never say goodbye

God Likes to Paint

God likes to paint, you can see His creations every day,
The sunrises in the morning and the sunsets too at night,
The white puffy clouds in the light blue sky,
The rainbow at the end of a storm showing everything is all right,

The beautiful hues of the fragrant flowers,
The different colors on the butterflies too,
The wonderful colors of bird feathers,
Can also be seen by me and by you

God paints the green of the grass,
The gold of the radiant sun,
God paints the colors of all animals,
He even camouflages some.

God loves to paint so many things,
The only thing we need to do is look,
He makes the world a better place for us,
He watches us too live our life's book,

Just take the time out of your busy day,
To enjoy the colors God creates,
They are always there and available,
To see them, it is never too late.

RELEASING DREAMS.....

Dreams.....mystical hopes, long to own
From all the wishes, through life sown
Anticipation, what reality can become
Special happiness, under warming sun

Secret hopes, able to finally escape
No longer hidden, heavy clouds draped
Admitted with words, exploding truth
Actions-confirmation, sealing proof

Time to prepare, release dreams
Hopes of a future, unique-supreme
Till treasure chest, of dreams spill
Way forward, with faith finally seal

The Jungle

in this jungle of terrestrial life
tangled amongst the density
roaming under a silent stealth
passion waits with rapt intensity

covered softly in words of honey
attracting the ones unpledged
like stones falling into puddles
ripples fanning out full-fledged

time meanders through days
climaxing into months and years
subdued in the jungle of our lives’
effacing all the tears and fears

pending the sunlight of clearing
traversing through ordered chaos
searching through the emotions
among the ecstasy of the pathos

the jungle is captivating and bold
enduring the solemn reassuring
succumbing to the sweetness
strong and so deeply alluring

for even if you think wrongly, it is better to make mistakes in your thinking than not to think at all."

roads and all

well heaven knows
and heaven lies
I'm driving down this road
under stationary skies

distances are vast
I can see no end
it's easy just to cruise
it's easy to pretend

if my truck was an angel
if my truck had wings
I'd fly past the corners
this world brings

I'd fly down to Texas
just to say I did
I'd hold the world
in a coffee jar
then I'd turn the lid

but my wheels are rubber
and my truck ain't new
so I turn on the radio
and I think of you

at the end of every run
that I've ever had
there's automatic balancing
of good and bad

I don't always get it right
like I did with you
a part of me never smiles
when the sky is blue

I'm told there's a mountain
at the end of this track
I won't be needing anything
I won't be coming back

if my truck was an angel
if my truck had wings
I'd fly past the corners
this world brings

I'd fly down to Texas
just to say I did
I'd hold the world
in a coffee jar
then I'd turn the lid

but my wheels are rubber
and my truck ain't new
so I turn on the radio
and I think of you

Rejoice in the flow....

I've finally matured.
I'm starting to notice
How the hands of a clock
Scroll the time.
I realize I'm already not twenty.
So, I am not shy to cry .
I love nature and
I enjoy Aprils wind
And for the first time
I can see
That some things
Are deafeningly " too Late".
My voice trembles
Treacherously in my poems
The universe is right,
Our life just makes circles
On the water,
And I rejoice it,
Following the flow....

Autumn of my life

As the leaves start to fall
and the summer nears its end,
memories of the past,
and dreams of the future,
become strangely intertwined.

Life and thoughts seem to slow
to a state of suspense,
waiting for a shaft of light
to reawaken and invigorate all that was,
and can be again.

The clearing mist, a sunlit path,
a lightened step and a partner
giving companionship and love.
A road leading out of autumn
into winter.

To reach journey’s end,
shutting out the cold and wind
of past disappointments.
Safe in the warmth and security
of each other,
nurtured by our shared strengths, hopes
and memories.
