Southern Signs

What's your "Southern" Sign? Some of us (especially Southerners) are pretty skeptical of horoscopes and it has become obvious that what we need are some Southern symbols to break up the monotony of those danged 'ol other astrological signs. cowboy

OKRA (Dec 22- Jan 20)- although you appear crude, you are actually very slick on the inside. OKRAS have tremendous influence. An older OKRA can look back over his life and see the seeds of his influence everywhere. Stay away from MOON PIES.

CHITLIN (Jan 21- Feb 19)- Chitlins come from humble backgrounds. A chitlin, however, can make something of himself if he's motivated and has lots of seasoning. In dealing with Chitlins, be careful. They can erupt like Vesuvius. Chitlins are best with CATFISH and OKRA.

BOLL WEEVIL (Feb 20- March 20)- You have an overwhelming curiosity. You're unsatisfied with the surface of things, and you feel the need to bore deep into the interior of everything. Needless to say, you are very intense and driven as if you had some inner hunger. Nobody in their right mind is going to marry you, so don't worry about it. wink

MOON PIE (March 21- Apr 20)- You're the type that spends a lot of time on the front porch. It's a cinch to recognize the physical appearance on Moon Pies. Big and round are the key words here. You should marry anybody who you can get remotely interested in you. It's not going to be easy. This might be the year to think about aerobics or yoga. Or-maybe not.

POSSUM (Apr 21- May 21)- When confronted with life's difficulties, possums have a marked tendency to withdraw and develop a "don't-bother-me-about it" attitude. Sometimes you become so withdrawn, people actually think you're dead. This strategy is probably not psychologically healthy, but seems to work for you. One day, however, it won't work and you may find your problems actually running you over.

CRAWFISH (May 22-Jun21)- Crawfish is a water sign. If you work in an office, you're always hanging around the water cooler. Crawfish prefer the beach to the mountains, the pool to the golf course, the bathtub to the living room. You tend to not be attractive physically, but you have very, very good heads.

COLLARDS (June 22- July 21)- Collards have a genius for communication. They love to get into the 'Melting pot" of life and share the essence of those around them. Collards make good social workers, psychologists and baseball managers. As fas as your personal life goes. stay away from Moon Pie. It just won't work. Save yourself a lot of heartache.

CATFISH (July 22-August 21)- Catfish are traditionalists in matters of the heart. Although one's whiskers may cause problems for loved ones. You Catfish are never easy people to understand. You prefer the muddy bottoms to the clear surface of life. Above all else, Catfish should stay away from Moon Pies.

GRITS (August 22- Sept 21)- Your highest aim is to be with others like yourself. You like to huddle together with a big crowd of other Grits. You love to travel though, so maybe you should think of joining a club. Where do you like to go? Anywhere they have cheese or gravy or bacon, butter or eggs. If you can go somewhere where they have all those things, that serves you well.

BOILED PEANUTS ( Sept 22-Oct 21)- You have a passionate desire to help your fellow man. Unfortunately, those who know you best- may find that your personality is too salty, and their criticism may affect you deeply because you are much more softer and sensitive than you may appear. You should go right ahead and marry anybody you want to because in a way, you live a charmed life. On the road of life, you can be sure that people will always pull over and stop for you.

BUTTER BEAN (Oct 22-Nov 21)- Always invite a Butter Bean because they get along well with everyone. You, as a Butter Bean, should be proud. You've grown on the vine of life and you feel at home no matter what the setting. However, you too, should avoid Moon Pies.

Secret love

Suddenly he was standing in front of the neighboring house
with the thick camera around his neck.
Where are you from all of a sudden ?
Ah, American accent.
Out of the blue,
did a Higher Being send you ?
Puh,
that was Love at the first view,
Lightning shot through, arms and knees grew weak.
~~~~~~~~
It's been 13 years now and my heart still beats faster when we see.
->
Open your heart and soul to reach you !
?
You told:
"Once and for all, it's just not on:
I will never fall in Love with you, not in your nelly,
neither shall you fall in Love with me".
You give me peace and serenity, security and protection,
from evil, bad people who want to use and rob.
Unfortunately, you are dismissively, gruff and hurtful,
when I ask about your feelings and thoughts
-> that's why I stopped asking !
?
Clear your blockages and fears, opening for Kisses and Cuddles
........
in eternal Love, yours 8
~~~~ come back well and stay healthy~~~~ Toodle-oo !

Let The Church Say Amen!

It's been said I'm too fanatical,too religious for dating site!Christian Singles is a dating site,but being an "inspired temple"I,like my "reviewers" have a right to share this bright LIGHT!Wishing me good luck & happiness,while ignoring,missing Heaven's true light,stubbornly they are stuck.
Craving more of self in naughtiness & hobbies distracting them in vanity & such.
Rather we leave the "preaching" to be done in "church",there are those of us who know we ARE THE CHURCH,& the
idol-worshippers promote rebellious works!
It'S all coming to a head,where everybody is going to stay.The gates of hell will not prevail,as the meek TRUE CHURCH saves the day!
The gates of hell will

not prevail,as the meek TRUE CHURCH saves the day!

Happy

Happy, this can't be is it really you?
Do my eyes decieve me or still see true?
My most beloved, my dearest friend,
I knew not how and I knew not when,
The day would come when we'd meet again,
Still however long I'd wait until then.
Oh joy, on this day how fortune has turned,
And it's been so long the wait for your return.
Sit let me tell you 'bout the things I've seen,
The places I've been, the wisdom I've gleaned.
See since you've been gone the things that I've tried,
About a hundred different ways and times,
To fill the void that you left behind,
But still keep the memory of you alive.
With great sadness I mourned that day when you left,
'Til another love came and gave me rest,
Her name was Pleasure and she showed me the way,
But it never lasted cuz she would never stay.
Then along came another her name was Green,
Stacks as in money, dough, cash, cream,
And she bought me all kinds of material things,
But they just can't replace what Happy brings.
So I searched high and low till Truth came to me,
Made the truth plain to me that you'd never left,
Happy can remain whether sunshine or rain,
All I have to do is choose for myself,
And be happy.

Angels at Sea

Angels at Sea

Born and bred on a briny breeze
Bouncing and bobbing on the stormy belligerent sea
Tramel thought hard about his wonderful wife
As he pondered even harder about saving this life
Coast Guard brazen and bold sailed, ready to save lives
“But back!” the bosun blew as he tried to cast out a line
“Over near the bow!” his breath did blow at Tramel,
The brackish black water did a drowning man trample
Without second thought Tramel dove deep down into the water's darkness
The blazing bright beard of the bosun twitched with unrest
“Lord in heaven, spare my life!” the drowning doomed denizen did shout
Sorrowed sailor Tramel swam the sea without doubt
“No life will be lost” the thought lingered in his mind
He continued to think. “Savior save your sorrow, his life is mine.”
As he pounced and plowed over powerful waves, plunging his hand
Heavily heaving and hoping to help this drowning man
“I've got him sir!” Tramel's tired and trembling voice did call
“Aye aye!” bellowed the bosun, his comrade would not fall
The piercing pins of the plowing sea did clinch,
Yet Tramel swam firm through falter and flinch
He held fast the frayed and failing rope
The grip of his heavy hand his only hope
Raising the ragged Tramel and man up the starboard side
The sea suddenly sullen as the storm did subside
The crew crowded and called out for a life had been saved
Lifting and loving the Coastie so brave
The seething sun scoured away the dark sky
This sailor selflessly smiled as he started to cry
The man was fortunate an angel was on duty this day
“Semper Paratus” Tramel pondered as they ship sailed away

Lyn (the kindness of strangers).

It was two thousand and one - I had moved
House, and hoping for a brand new start.
It was my first night there - and so it proved
An omen there to win a lady's heart.
In the local pub, loneliness was soothed
With a cold beer and conversation's art;-
As it so happened, I soon found a table
To drink with strangers, and so begins this fable.

The first night in a different suburb and
So soon (it seemed) I'd found some company.
I was a stranger in a stranger land -
(The outer Western Suburbs of Sydney).
I write this introduction - you understand -
To set the scene for what comes next (you see).
At this table were a man and a lady -
He's an Irishman, and she a "Gypsy".

A "Gypsy of the heart" is more accurate
And the old Irishman soon wanted leave;
He had his sorrows to drown by drinking late
(And so he asked - and got - this said reprieve).
Therefore, it seemed, that I now had a date -
(Well fact is harder than fiction to believe).
A few more drinks - well that was requisite -
And what followed later was exquisite.

Her name was Lyn, and she was "rough as guts" *
Though strangely elegant (about forty-nine)
To my thirty-three - and was I nuts
To entertain encounters of this kind?
Well I'm not mad, but maybe "nucking futs" **
(And my first night here promised to be fine).
On her arms were faded old tattoos -
Well, I was young, and how could I refuse?

It seemed the feeling (mutual) now came,
And standing out now on the quiet street
I saw her dress (well-tailored) to her frame
And suddenly was overcome with heat.
Well I could see that she now felt the same
I suggested that we both should now retreat
To my house (which was in a row of shanties) -
All I wanted, then, was to rip off her panties.

Which happened soon - I had a makeshift bed-
It was only just a mattress on the floor
With boxes full of clutter by our heads
(Put there earlier the day before).
Well, naturally enough our clothes we shed,
She reclining on her back lets me explore
Her intimacy and nub of womanhood -
Will I go on further? - well yes I should.

She had a lovely body - a size ten -
Though I'm not all that particular at times -
I don't discriminate now - nor did then -
(Most women are beautiful and sublime).
And so we were in bed, and that was when
I thought I was the luckiest man alive.
The more I loved her the more we were wanton
And that night I felt richer than a sultan.

Two more nights there were, and it was bliss;-
Our naked bodies creamy in the moonlight.
And giddy's how I felt when we did kiss;-
Her long blonde hair and face - a lovely sight.
Of course, it is the times like this I miss -
(These memories of sensual delight).
The best I can do is write this tribute:
The "kindness of strangers" - there's no substitute.

THE BEAUTY OF GOD'S CREATION

ALL OF GOD'S CREATION
IS SO BEAUTIFUL TO ME,
EVERY RIVER, EVERY LAKE,
EVERY OCEAN, AND EVERY SEA;
THE SUNRISES AT DAWN
TO GIVE US THE MORNING LIGHT,
AND THE MOON AND THE STARS IN SPACE
ARE LIKE SPARKLING DIAMONDS IN THE SKY AT NIGHT
THE MOUNTAIN PEAKS
ARE COVERED WITH SNOW,
ABOVE A BEAUTIFUL GREEN MEADOW
IN THE VALLEY BELOW;
THE FLOWERS, THE TREES, THE BIRDS, THE BEES,
THEY ALL DISPLAY BEAUTY, IN THEIR OWN WAY,
IT WAS ALL CREATED BY THE HANDS OF GOD
FOR EACH OF US TO ENJOY EACH DAY;
SO EACH TIME WE SEE A FLOWER BLOOM
EACH TIME A BIRD FLIES BY,
EACH TIME WE LOOK UP TOWARD HEAVEN
AND SEE A RAINBOW IN THE SKY...
...WE MUST REMEMBER...
THAT IT IS GOD WHO DESERVES THE PRAISE!!!

November's CConversation

A November Conversation

"Leafless tree, gray and bare as your mood, you arms thin and frail,

somehow you manage a majestic stance in your loft, as you extend a

crooked limb to warn me of advancing snows.

And with a gust of wind, four limbs, a palm, brush across what seems

to be an ear.

Do you hear the crackle of the upcoming ice or the moaning of a pack

of wolves along a distant timber trail?

You hold no shelter now for your winged friends. Does this make you lonely?

No squirrel now to tickle your back, that scratch that makes you laugh

and shakes your leaves without a single breeze.

And that melody you sing, with your gold coin leaves as they shimmer

from Autumn's breeze, is silent now.

Soon I will see your coat, white, with sleeves of ice.

And I, shivering in the sleet, with skins to keep me warm, will wonder

as you do not make a sound

with your bare feet on the ground.

We speak of these November things, you and I, as each year

rolls around.

You learn of my attention to your roll upon this earth.

And I learn, of all the seasons,

November breeds your worth.
