Happy
Happy, this can't be is it really you?
Do my eyes decieve me or still see true?
My most beloved, my dearest friend,
I knew not how and I knew not when,
The day would come when we'd meet again,
Still however long I'd wait until then.
Oh joy, on this day how fortune has turned,
And it's been so long the wait for your return.
Sit let me tell you 'bout the things I've seen,
The places I've been, the wisdom I've gleaned.
See since you've been gone the things that I've tried,
About a hundred different ways and times,
To fill the void that you left behind,
But still keep the memory of you alive.
With great sadness I mourned that day when you left,
'Til another love came and gave me rest,
Her name was Pleasure and she showed me the way,
But it never lasted cuz she would never stay.
Then along came another her name was Green,
Stacks as in money, dough, cash, cream,
And she bought me all kinds of material things,
But they just can't replace what Happy brings.
So I searched high and low till Truth came to me,
Made the truth plain to me that you'd never left,
Happy can remain whether sunshine or rain,
All I have to do is choose for myself,
And be happy.
