Indian businesses in the UK...

110,000 people are employed by Indian companies operating in the UK. there are now more than 800 Indian-owned businesses (from India, not counting curry shops) in the UK.

65,000 people work for Tata Group,

28,000 of those work for Tata Motors, which owns Jaguar Land Rover

investment from India into the UK is now almost level with France, the UK's second-largest investor after the US.

India is the fourth biggest economy in the world after China, US ,Japan...
almost all the big multinationals are lining up to have offices here, microsoft, google and so many huge organizations have Indian CEOs.
i read above that Hindi was being equated with Indian as language. well our dialects and cuisine change after every 50 odd kms. india is a land of diversity where the maximum number of religions and populations exist in harmony. we are hardworking people who have been let down by our leaders and sadly our best leave for foreign shores in search of a better life.US and UK are two big examples of thriving indian community where you have docotrs, techies and scientists working in large numbers along with businessmen.canada, Aus and NZ are the next big destinations.we have a thriving democracy and a secular constitution sadly most people still think of India as a land of snake charmers and naked Fakirs. that image has to change but can only be done over a period of time. however stereotypes will continue to haunt us .....nothing matters in the end ...

all countries have their pluses and minuses, nobody is perfect. the planet belongs to us, we are all co-workers, instead of mudslinging and having a superiority complex,it would be far more productive if we all worked together to improve each others life ......no one can claim to be the best !!!
before we pass a judgement we have to be in the other person's shoes to experience his/her life and its complexities.

bbboy5: I am from India and looking for my life partner in some of the above mentioned countries, I am ready to settle with her in her country. I am Honest, real, genuine person and looking for marriage. I hope I will find my girl here. I don't mind age difference, no matter if she is 30 or 80 yrs old, i only looking for true love and comfortable happy future life with her. Please Vote and let me know which country girl is more suitable for me, Thanks in advance for your precious vote :)

Why don't you look for someone in your own backyard? You can't get to know someone in another country. Typically long distance romance don't work. You need someone your own age and in your own country and your own town, if they are even 30 miles away that is too far in my opinion.

Good luck, sorry I didn't vote your country wasn't there.

Indian businesses in the UK...

The equal amount of Indians that are involved in companies are hiding under the radar.

They are also involved in dirty deeds as was the 6 restaurant owner that was employing illegal people and buying substitute food that killed a man. He got 6 years last week so maybe out in 2 and back to doing what he has always done, the answer would be to close all the businesses and throw all his family out of the UK but no its too PC correct and the do-gooders would not allow that.

It is why the UK is a cesspit.

Kattte: Love it all; a man after my own heart; however this (quote)"Yet a computer will struggle to mimic the vast emotional depth and mysterious nature common to the Russian. The shallowest people in the world, those living in North and South America, can be the most easily mimicked." is dead wrong especially about South America in which I've spent a lot of time, especially in Argentina and Chile. You, I'm assuming, have never ventured out of England let alone to South America. What makes those people totally different from Americans is that Argentina and Chile have large numbers of ex Europeans there, especially since the 'great escape' period after WW2 . There are substantial numbers from nearly every country in Europe, even the Nordic countries such as Sweden and Denmark. It is a joke down there that the Swedes build and run the ships; the English run the railroads; the Irish run the bars , the police and the arms market, the Germans and Austrians run the Intelligence agencies (and have since the late 40's) and everyone shares in running the military except the Gauchos; they run the beef/cattle/horse industry while the Deli's are run by Poles and Hungarians. Argentina, even more than Chile is totally alive, vibrant and always ready for a coup which is what I find truly endearing. They are polite, civilized by European standards but in your face in a flash. That quality as far as americans are concerned, makes them 'unreliable and volatile' which I find very amusing.
Take some time and visit; get to know some of the countries there. You won't regret it but you'll have a difficult time in categorizing them into any drawer of your mind. They are truly unique and in no way a "banana republic' You'd have to travel to Paraguay or to Central America for that; they live the stereotype which they like.

I spend much of last summer in Colombia if that counts? And also kidnapped and robbed in a taxi in Uruguay which to be honest was the most polite mugging I've ever had.

They are hedonistic, fiery, and most of their music really does sound like La Bamba. Uniformly hedonistic and fiery(exceptions exist), I do regard modern Southern American culture to be a rootless pleasure-seeking culture like the north only done a lot cheaper. I see them as the poor man's equivalent of North American greed and self-indulgence.

Indians(and Sikhs)are not so bad. The greatest generation controlled the border when many of them came in and so there was naturally greater quality control and more social pressure placed on arrivals to integrate.

After they retired and died came the rise of the irresponsibles, the death of quality control, and outsourcing the spine of the nation in exchange for a blood-soaked dime. But at least we're not France. The English channel helps England no matter the incompetency of the English. It's a fixed quality control barrier. And whilst many in Britain would like to move the English channel and tow the island closer to France, the truth is that we should be kissing that water.

The English channel is a big part of the reason why it's not ridiculously easy to get into Britain. However, what's soft about Britain is how we treat foreigners once they're in and it's more of a people problem than a political one. British deference and bum-cheek-parting is the reason why foreign arrivals can so often take the piss out of us. The ordinary Brit doesn't assert himself easily, especially when it counts(online doesn't count), and that's why we struggle to uphold British standards and values.

TheRedSquirrel87: It might sound like a little thing, but all these little instances where we won't say anything add up to the impression that we are too weak to defend ourselves. It is the little things that make up life.

Anyway, hopefully because young Brits grew up with Blacks and some of our best friends actually are Black things will change. Middle aged, middle class and white are the hallmarks of a man who will defer to the nearest Black in any given situation possible: he may complain about immigrants privately, he may two-facedly vote for UKIP, but in person he will lick the Black man's balls.

Never underestimate the power of manginanism. laugh

Surely this weak behaviour is attractive to the strong executive type women you have over there.dunno

As the women take up the role of men, males take the role of Freddie Mercury in the 'I want to break free' music video, cleaning up, doing chores.shimmy

I replied to the other thread where you said Manchester men were manginas, saying maybe its because of their diet that they are less aggressive.

I might add that as a Latina woman I find it refreshing that a man is willing to do the dishes and does not feel like acting ''macho'' 24/7.

allthegoodnamest: That can also apply to men who are overly nice to women & asslick because they think they have some sort of chance with them, but in reality , the women are thinking "loser"

@allthegoodnamest

Any woman no matter how ugly always has at least 3 or 4 men hovering around her trying to get in. How she uses them sometimes is sad to watch.

That's why I like Anglosaxons who are better trained in doing house chores than some other more traditional patriarchal background nationalities where women does it all in house and works.

That is unfortunate about Uruguay...or was it that you had no idea of the directions he should take to arrive at your destination and then charges you double or more for all the problems he had to find your destination. That is common. That is almost 'de rigeur' in most African countries even when one lives there.
Don't forget the 'hot blood' mix of most South American women...they are mostly mestizos, mixed with Indian/ Spanish/ Portuguese. A volatile mix for their temperment The ones not mixed, be they Spanish or Portuguese are very much like their European counterparts with their own charming way of being 'aloof' if not a bit 'haughty' due to their old nobility status who rarely deighn to even converse with those outside their class; the Russian girls/ women living in a permanent state of exile in France or Germany are very similar and without family contacts they are difficult to meet. Once met, they are very much the light, happy and charming as the French or Italian women who usually are very happy-go-lucky and virtually nothing phases them, but actually dating them is like being in the 18th century...a chaperon will attend and that can be their grandmothers. And their version of impeccable behaviour rules the date. I found it rather hilarious but had no problems with it other than trying to make the chaperon at ease while at a nightclub...one has to indulge them; gifts...(your date will tell you what they like)
La Bamba? Add Tequila; either the song or the liquor or bothlaugh Personally I prefer the Flamenco style with Tango accents.
A poor man's version of greed and indulgence...perhaps some; most seem not to give a damn about money; they seem to take life on the fly but remember, their societies are all class based and those without any class try their best to compensate for their peon roots and those types far outnumber the ones from their old families of nobility who avoid them as much as possible. Of those, many are rather rude unlike the old nobly class in Europe who at times are very deprecating to the point of nausea. No real pride left.
