To pKrema: Yeah, I am...speeding towards a green light and when I get close enough the bloody thing turns red...
Reminded me of:
For a few years ago I's driving home after a few hours paddling kayak. Crossed 2 roads on red light. Not that I didn't notice it - I did - but it was like I didn't care, as if I and everything else existed in different universes. (Got a lot of tooting at me, but it's Gothenburg. They say, it's worse than Estokholmo.) Got to learn later that I's high on endorphin caused by paddling.
From then on, I try to avoid crossroads with traffic lights. After paddling kayak, that is :)
Cancer isn't a protective factor against CVD, oestrogen is.
At ca 65 years of age, due to menopause and decreasing levels of oestrogen, women get the same risk to get some cardio-vascular disease, oftenmost acute myocardial infarction (AMI) as men.
There is something with oestrogen that keeps our vessels clean. If you maintain relatively healthy life style, your risk to get CVD before 65 would be very low.
